2000s Draft Redux - R1 - Dr Positivity vs Jon_3232

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

PG - LeBron James (20) / Jason Terry (16) / Eric Snow (12)
SG - Mike Miller (32) / Jason Terry (16)
SF - Andre Iguodala (36) / LeBron James (8) / Mike Miller (4)
PF - Rasheed Wallace (38) / LeBron James (10)
C - Chris Bosh (38) / Joel Przybilla (10)

2008-09 LeBron James - 19.9 fga
2007-08 Rasheed Wallace - 11.3 fga
2006-07 Chris Bosh - 15.9 fga
2004-05 Jason Terry - 9.3 fga
2008-09 Andre Iguodala - 14 fga
2004-05 Mike Miller - 10.1 fga
2008-09 Joel Przybilla - 3.3 fga
2006-07 Eric Snow - 4 fga

87.9/88 fga

I’ve got a clear identity with this LeBron-led squad built around versatility, spacing, and defensive flexibility. LeBron will start at point guard and can control tempo, using his size to overwhelm Deron while forcing Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince into tough switches. Mike Miller and Jason Terry stretch the floor with shooting, pulling Garnett and Prince away from help-defense positions. Andre Iguodala and Rasheed Wallace bring elite perimeter and interior defense, letting them slow Rip’s off-ball movement and challenge Pau’s post play. Chris Bosh adds mobility/spacing at center, dragging Gasol out of the paint. Against Garnett led defense with Prince and Rip, the key advantage is LeBron’s playmaking—his ability to collapse their defense and kick to shooters should create a lot of good looks. While the Garnett–Gasol frontcourt is formidable, spacing and mismatches from LeBron–Bosh pick-and-rolls, plus Rasheed stretching KG, hopefully tilts this series . With Iguodala to help slow down Deron and wings who can hit big shots, my team’s balance of creation, shooting, and defensive versatility should be enough to edge out Dr P’s squad.

PG: Deron Williams (2008: 13.6 FGA)
SG: Rip Hamilton (2008: 14.3 FGA)
SF: Tayshaun Prince (2004: 8.8 FGA)
PF: Kevin Garnett (2005: 16.6 FGA)
C: Pau Gasol (2009: 12.9 FGA)

PG/SG: Charlie Ward (2001: 6.1 FGA)
SF: Steve Smith (2000: 11.0 FGA)
C: Kendrick Perkins (2008: 4.5 FGA)

87.8 / 88

PG: Deron Williams (38) / Charlie Ward (10)
SG: Rip Hamilton (36) / Steve Smith (6) / Charlie Ward (6) /
SF: Tayshaun Prince (20) / Steve Smith (28)
PF: Kevin Garnett (36) / Tayshaun Prince (12)
C: Pau Gasol (38) / Kendrick Perkins (8) / Kevin Garnett (2)

Defensive matchups: Prince on Lebron, Deron on Miller, Rip on Iguodala, KG on Sheed, Pau on Bosh

He has Lebron but we have well rounded mix of offensive options with KG, Pau, Deron and Rip. Deron and KG should be a nice fit together on offense like with Boozer. Young Iguodala is like a poor man's version of Lebron on offense compared to an off ball player like Rip. We have shooting advantage with 3 capable players in Deron, Rip and Prince while he has Miller and Sheed. Young Bosh is not used to playing center and Pau will take it to him in man to man offense and on the boards, and tire him out on offense. We have the bench advantage as Smith and Terry are both good options, but Ward is better than 2007 Snow (his 2nd last year) and having another solid 3/D guy goes a long way, and 08 title Perk can match Pryzibilla at worst especially playing beside KG.
