No, you and the bigoted ilk whose many values you share want to be able to spread your "viewpoints" that happen to invoke violence and cause irreparable harm to everyone who doesn't look like you, and then cry foul when they even so much as point it out. But this is to be expected. Malignant people bask in the hurt they cause others, but hate to feel the shame of what they do and who they are being named. This is the true and only reason you are upset.

I don’t know what you originally said to this thing, but the block button exists for this purpose. Blocked some others too. I don’t care what pain some of you all have experienced, when you are an adult you must be held accountable to a basic standard. That standard is allowing up for free speech, even if you disagree. Justification of violence because of someone’s speech is the opposite of this value. It’s the first damn amendment in the constitution for a reason. I just wanted to talk basketball. Yet here we are.

I don't want discourse with you personally, no, you're insufferable and we agree on almost nothing politically and I find you morally reprehensible. You are a malignant spiteful person that has to win every argument and its tiresome, its funny because I disagree with 3ammy regularly but I can tell he's got a good heart and we both know when enough's enough and how to just let it go.

Also bigoted ilk, as if people don't notice your constant efforts to turn everything racial and anti white? Again, people can read your posts and decide for themselves. If you want to sit and have a 10 page argument with someone on the internet who you'll never see eye to eye with, you'll have to find another dancing partner. You're not looking for common ground, you want submission, and I'll never submit to you. Now bitch some more about it.

Also learn how to use spoiler tags and have some common courtesy for the rest of the board.

Nah. Let's keep your words up, shall we? And thank you for continuing to prove my point. I'm actually going to peel back the layers and tell you exactly what this you're experiencing is. Not to be mean, but to be completely honest. If not for you, maybe for anyone in a similar mindset lurking and reading.

Your lashing out has everything to do with being outed for the type of person you are and nothing else. You need to face yourself.

Charlie Kirk's violent death and the response to it has got you bothered because you are seeing and having to face what the world thinks of you and people like you when you are gone. People who thrive on hate for others, and try to wrap it up as viewpoints while your rhetoric destroys their lives. But this has shown you not only how that hateful rhetoric can turn on you in an instant, but also that many will not care when it does because of what you make this world for them and others who just want to be let alone. FACE YOURSELF.

You do not like what you see, and this is clear, but I cannot silence myself to help you with that. From praising a known white supremacist who is currently calling for the eradication of Democrats, to randomly freaking out about women and exposing yourself to be a misogynist too. You are you without any help from me, sir. I'm just a girl from a sports family on the internet.

Ironically, I haven't uttered a negative word towards Charlie Kirk. It wouldn't sit right with my spirit. I've only posted his own words and reflected on the broader implications. That's how I know this meltdown of yours isn't even for me. So let it all out, I guess, and rattle off as many insults as you need to. But that mirror and the reflection in it are not going away any time soon.

Btw, no, I remove the spoiler so it can post exactly that way on purpose. You want to hide my words and the truth of them, and I will not allow that.

The spoiler tag is to make it easier for people to navigate the thread, not to hide your words, I can't believe that needs to be explained.

And the post was edited because the argument is pointless. Also this coy "I actually didn't say anything negative just used his own words" argument isn't fooling anyone because it was perfectly understood what the implication of those posts was. You want to get nasty but leave yourself an out, and then project it onto others to feel morally righteous, while always having the last word.

This is the worst take I've seen on this yet. Yes, everyone who is bothered by his violent death are all just hateful people, that's all it is, nothing to do with the fact an innocent man was gunned down in cold blood while people cheer it on like savages.

Feel free to put spoilers over your own words to help with navigation.

I can assure you, if I wanted to be "nasty" I wouldn't hide it. But as I've already said, I don't put out that type of energy.

That said, there is something to be said about Charlie Kirk's own rhetoric and how it got us here, and that's what I have been pointing out. The fact that his own words produce "implications" according to you that are less than favorable, says it all. I've encouraged you to examine that further multiple times.

Anyways, almost 4a in Sao Paolo. Jet lag is not a joke. But good news, Bolsonaro was sentenced.

https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/brazils-bolsonaro-sentenced-27-years-after-landmark-coup-plot-conviction-2025-09-11/

If only all former presidents who are traitors to their country and attempted a coup were treated the same everywhere.

He's going to get caught. They almost certainly already know who he is. Random murders sometimes go unsolved, but this is high profile and the suspect's image is out. Someone recognizes him.

They can read what I've said. And they can read what Charlie Kirk said. And they can read you saying that you agree with much of his views.

Isn't that great?

You're upset about people celebrating despite Charlie Kirk dying in a "violent spectacle"? Charlie Kirk supported public executions. Violent spectacles is exactly what he wanted. He wanted to televise them as entertainment and monetize them.

There's the clip of Charlie Kirk and his buddies talking about it. I invite everyone to watch.

Don’t believe what you read cuz you may not have read the correction. Those corrections seem to always go in the same direction: in favor of the politics of the publisher. I thonk the NYT editorial staff could care less about racism, anti-semitism, or anything else. People are tools or enemies to them. They just want you to “other” people. This needs to be called out more. Fiscal consequences for reporting this bad should be a thing.

Do you have a law enforcement background or some capacity of manhunt experience? Not attacking you, just curious what your credentials are and whether I should take you seriously. This is a big statement.

Waking up to the news that the killer was caught. That's a good thing, even though I'm very troubled that the FBI has been so decimated by cuts that it took his own father turning him in for it to not look completely hopeless. I'm glad the killer's no longer in the streets and hopefully some of the groups that were immediately blamed for the murder and had to have their institutions on lock down can feel safe again.

I will say this.

As we speak, the president of the United States has admitted he "couldn't care less" about bringing the country together when asked on the morning news, and has been calling Democrats scum and using dehumanizing language even the worst dictators of the past would blush at to turn his base violent against them. This, all while Republican white supremacist idol Stephen Miller is calling for the eradication of Democrats and top Republican officials continuously publicly signal calling for war and the arrest of Democrats at random.

The list goes on and on from the right. Calling for war. Calling for violence...all while claiming its the other side calling for war and violence.

And yet, they cannot name even ONE Democratic politician who has said anything but to condemn violence. Not even a prominent Democrat internet personality can be named. Again, the truth is out in the open and it has caused the types of meltdowns that can only be described as the way someone reacts when they have been exposed. No longer able to hide what they truly are deep down inside.

The world sees that Republicans didn't flinch when 2 Democratic politicians were murdered by a right winged madman who pretended to be a law enforcement officer just to kill them, and had a list of other Democrats to go after next. That they didn't flinch when Trump refused to speak to the governor of their state or even attend their funeral. That they didn't flinch when Fox News and the right wing media made fun of their deaths. That they didn't flinch when the overwhelming majority of mass shooters and committers of political violence are revealed to be Republican and harbor extreme right wing views. That they've never even flinched at the massacres of school age children happening like clockwork over and over and over again, right under their noses as they vote to make sure it can keep happening.

But they see also that they gave Charlie Kirk a half mast flag, moments of silence at the same sporting events that they lose their **** at the athletes they watch (while desperately hating in every other context) kneel for justice at, and that they will award him a medal and a statesmen burial.

And the world has responded accordingly. Including the UK Parliament refusing to give a moment of silence to Charlie Kirk, and South Korean engineers getting the hell out of dodge despite the president begging them to stay. It's only so long that you can hide the stink of the social decay caused by your own rhetoric and vile teachings/beliefs.

The very fact you're continuing this "I'm not nasty, the killing was wrong, but..." rhetorical game says it all.

Here again, pretending to have the neutral opinion and just caring about what's right, while endorsing disrespecting a violent murder of an innocent man, blaming him and others instead of having any kind of introspection at all. Its gross and I hope other posters can see as much. I didn't want to respond because I don't care for you, but I'm not going to let that hypocrisy slide. Whatever your feelings on his politics, he was a good man, and I pray for his wife and kids. I'll pray for you too.

EDIT: second biggest fear, my biggest fear is that political assassination becomes normalized and cheered by the masses. Which would be the spark necessary for civil war.

Could lead to more left wing people thinking they can do the same to right wing activists as well. I can see way too many from both sides who are deluded by mass media taking everything they are told to get mad about to heart and acting out. People are sheep and are so easily manipulated.

It’s already happening to right wing activists. Charlie Kirk was not a politician, he was a right wing activist. People on this very message board are justifying his assassination. I have done nothing but preach about speech over violence, including on this own message board. I will continue to preach these values, as that is democracy. But there are those who viewed Charlie Kirk as a threat to democracy who are literally celebrating his death as saving democracy. This is the opposite of democracy. Anyone justifying a MURDER is the bad guy and it is shameful people have not been banned for propagating violence on here.

Mankind has always been unstable. There have been political violence in many countries as people get deluded due to mass media fanning the flames. Some people just take what they hear to heart. There is more to life than thinking our personal beliefs are bigger than others. I don't mind being proven wrong.

My hot take: almost every politician views a person as either a tool or an enemy. I try to see people from the perspective of their humanity. But damn it’s tough seeing the humanity from some politician’s tool on here justify killing politicians enemies. Contract I am speaking about you.
