Adam Silver has lost the plot, and it's been rocky for a while IMO.

NBA in a redzone format would be great lol
There's way too much happening in basketball compared to football. Redzone works for football because there are so many breaks in the action.

Doesn't really matter. Redzone is not constantly live, they constantly are showing (recent) replays of big plays. No reason why an NBA redzone couldn't show you a 8-0 run by Detroit, followed by a huge dunk by someone in Miami, then go live in Golden State when nothing else of note is happening.
Then show the ends of games, and you can even octobox or whatever that in.
I would honestly watch a lot more NBA that way. It would just be a really, really great way to be able to catch portions of the entire league.

What do you think a commissioner does exactly? The fact y'all hate Silver, and are not bashing the owners, means Silver is doing his job perfectly.
Isn't it funny how everyone hates Silver, Bettman, Goodell, and Manfred? According to fans they're all clueless. They're just a puppet talking for the owners

I'd like to see him push the networks to promote the game beyond highlights. I get the puppet stuff, but there's still actual things he could do to promote the sport that is under his role.

I'm not concerned about the price. I'd say league pass would be a relative bargain. For the price of dinner and a movie, you can get basically all of your favorite teams games.
My problem is that the app just isn't very good and that there are blackouts. I just want to be able to pay to watch 100% of my teams games and not to have separate streaming services.
As for "most people are ok just watching free stuff like highlights and locally broadcast games? That's true.

Sportsnet used to to Court Surfing and Court Cuts before TSN did all the basketball.
The NHL actually started this with Prime Coast to Coast:

So yes, it is a good idea, and people seem to like it

The NBA has grown tremendously under Silver. They just got the largest TV deal in history, and is considering expansion into Europe. Attendance is at a record high. What makes you think he is not promoting the NBA?

population is growing and basketball as a sport is growing. That's not his doing.
What I'm upset with is that he's OK with how ESPN and TNT promote the sport. And the NFL would NEVER let them do that to their product. he's not marketing and selling teaching the x's and o's.
