Well, I don't think it really matters what the shooters background is.

The minds are already made up either way and when you have a large percentage of people believe in non-sense like Pizzagate, you can rest assured that anything that contradicts their beliefs will be accepted as the truth.

My hope is that the GOPs rhetoric following the shooting is going to have the moderate right leaning folks recognize how many lunatics they have aligned themselves with.

Ok. I don't doubt the evidence, footage, reports on the engravings on the casings, etc. Kid raised by a family that taught him to shoot. Radicalized by events and our current political climate. Takes on role as another Luigi. The more that peoples' voices are quashed and the less their votes and opinions matter, the less I'm startled when one takes up arms instead of hashtags and online complaints. Not a good thing. Just not entirely a surprise. Ironically Charlie Kirk was right that this is a byproduct of a free and un-'regulated' 2nd amendment.

It would be even more ironic if this sort of thing was what kicked into motion some common sense laws on firearms. Though here it would not have mattered. Single shot with a long gun, bolt action not extended magazine or auto fire. And probably he didn't have to buy the rifle, it was in the family, so background checks wouldn't catch it.

Groypers have a long standing feud with Charlie Kirk and the TPUSA Community.

There’s a likelihood really. To hear the RW tell it theyre actively looking for an incident to touch off a civil war. An excuse to join in. I think the only thing forestalling it is that they’re in charge and get vicarious jollies over the aggressive and cruel actions of the administration. That and many have now joined ICE so they can do so in an official capacity. I think the greatest risk would be if the Dems take the house and the GOP get to play the aggrieved party again. Blame is what they’re good at. They suck at actual governance.

Ezra is definitely going to be eating a gigantic ---- sandwich of condemnation from the left for the rest of his career for that utterly asinine op ed he wrote for the Times. One gets the sense that he didn't do remotely enough leg work to realize what Kirk really believed, said, and how he actually behaved. You don't have to white wash the fact that he was a vile little monster, in order to condemn the murder, or violence as a way to silence speech. I spend too much time online so I can clear this up a little. Fuentes and Kirk didn't like each other because Fuentes is openly a fascist and a white nationalist and thought Kirk was a gatekeeper, and part of the establishment. Regardless of whatever's been said about Kirk, Fuentes is far to the right of him and that is where their differences lied. The idea that a Fuentes follower would write a bunch of antifascist memes on ammunition and shoot Kirk makes zero sense.


Anyway I think that is enough internet for me today. Can only watch videos of a young guys neck explode so many times, or people being gleeful about it, or people threatening vengeance so much. I am off to make a giant pot of adas polo.
