Honestly, the cowboys should do the same thing that howie roseman did with the Carson wentz draft picks. Kept trading them back to get more draft picks. Those draft picks got them or contributed in getting them:

AJ brown
Devonta smith
Jalen Carter
Cooper dejean

Among others. I could actually keep going but the others I would say are “good depth pieces”. But point is, howie turned that trade into an insanely good gold mine.

Yeah, but what are the chances that either pick turns into a great player like Micah? You're likely not going to get a top 10-15 pick based on how good Green Bay has looked.

Most years, teams only have 15 or so players with 1st Round grades. If you're picking late, usually it's guys like Mazi & Tyler Guyton who are still available. Not blue chip caliber players.

You might only end up with two good starters.

Best case: You use those picks to move up & grab an impact player. But then again, Jerry seems to be the more conservative type lately.

It would be the accumulation of all we saved being >>>> Micah. Not just ONE player. If we draft 2 "good" players and sign a big FA that could be better than ONE elite player.

Also it is 100% possible that the trade was a good one for BOTH sides. For GB Micah could be the one missing piece that takes them over the top, but that is not what he was here in Dallas.

The Cowboys don't chase free agents. They sign their own guys. But when's the last time they made a big splash in FA?

You're gonna have to hope to moved on from Dak at that point, else 1 good player won't make a difference. (2 players -1 Parsons = 1)
