With the Yankees now playing only one decent team the rest of the season (BOS this weekend), the collapse is still very much on.

My gosh, you're exhausting.

They end with 3 @MIN, 4@BAL, 3 vs. CHW, 3 vs. BAL

You tell me where the losses are coming in that stretch

Despite yesterday's game, Baltimore has been pretty good of late. The sky is not falling.

We are getting in extremem good shape of at least being second place in AL east and hosting the wild card.

Boston is effectively 5.5 games back with 14 games left for them. Not done, but that is a tough uphill battle for them.

He's used Fischer too much in the last few days. Schneider has to be the worst manager

It was a solid outing by Lauer. First outing in September. Could they use him as a situational lefty a bit more. He touched 95 today, which I think is a higher than his starting stuff.

At this point, if we went 0-14 to end the season our odds of making the playoffs are now over 50%.

Yankees about to finish the job on Boston again and remain 3 back. With their remaining schedule, we’ve got a massive problem on our hands.

The collapse is approaching.

Well, the Yanks have caught 0.5 games on Toronto since Aug 1st. So it's been coming...

Nah, you know what? I'm done. You're a broken record, with literally nothing of any importance to add. You're basically a bot at this point, just posting the same dribble over and over and over.

Time to figure out how to use the ignore list, at least until the season is over.

That’s all well and good but I should note that the word you’re looking for is drivel.

Jazz Chisholm claims the Yankees are the team to beat!

Not based on that play, jazz!

This Red Sox potential victory night is so key. It would also demoralize the Rays that much more.

Boston using that scrub Steven Matz in high leverage says it all about where their team is at

Our season is very likely on the line in the next 2 innings, do the Red Sox have any pitching whatsoever

Chapman saves the season, the collapse is on hold for now.

Thank you, Red Sux. That's it. We've secured the top seed in the AL. Nobody is catching us now.

Magic number to clinch the division is 11 with 15 games remaining and we are essentially 3 wins up on the Tigers for the best record in the AL. A good road trip for us this week likely all but seals the fate of the Yankees and Tigers. Also, a 7-6 finish the for us the rest of the way forces the Yankees to win all but 1 of their last 13 games to leapfrog us. Looking damn good.

Fangraphs updated odds give us a 92.1% chance of winning the division.

5-1 on our 6-game homestand while outscoring opponents 34-13 and the next two series come against teams with a combined 0.3% chance of making the playoffs. It's pretty much all but guaranteed at this point that we'll win the division – and likely finish with the best record in the AL – especially considering how we have generally been playing for the past 4 months. Wild to me that some people are so paranoid of the miniscule chance of us losing the division lead that they can't let the majority of fans enjoy the moment.
