Let's see how this one plays out:

Chelsea have been charged with 74 breaches of Football Association (FA) rules relating to agents, intermediaries and third-party investment in players.

A consortium led by Todd Boehly and private equity firm Clearlake Capital completed their takeover of the club in May 2022 and subsequently flagged what they identified as accounting discrepancies inherited from Roman Abramovich's ownership of the team.

The charges relate to the period 2009 to 2022 but primarily between 2010 and 2016. Chelsea have until Sept. 19 to respond.

sounds like they'll just get a slap on the wrist fine after self reporting these issues and saying "It was previous ownership"

the damage and cheating them and City have done has been tremendous lol. I hope punishment is just but I doubt it

Unfortunately, I agree with you regarding what the likely punishment will be.

The problem, as it was Manchester City, is that this form of cheating builds a club up for long-term success. Supposedly, one of these payments was used to bring in Hazard. If you remove him from Chelsea, it's doubtful the Blues win those two PL titles.

Winning the EL was great but yes, our performances under Ange were unforgivably abysmal for around 18 months. It doesn't seem like a great tactical fit at Forest, either. We'll see how it goes.

Horrible hire.

I know the focus will go to 'another set piece goal', but they've played Forrest of the pitch during that first half.

We were really good today and once the chemistry in the front gets better we will improve even more. A lot of sloppy passes that wasted situations

1.Mosquera is looking like an unreal talent
2. Ethan is looking like he's ready to explode
3. Noni Madueke is a great deputy for Bukayo and looks like if he can work on some things can take a leap himself.
4. We've made a monumental upgrade at LW
5. Gyokeres will get a lot better as season goes on and we understand how to play with him and his fitness improves.
6. Lastly , our depth looks a lot better this year. Saka , Saliba , Havertz , Jesus , and Odegaard basically out and the bench was still stacked. Compare that to last year where it was a wasteland.

Soucek with as straight red card foul as it can get. No VAR needed, that was just reckless. West Ham being demolished by Spurs in second half.

Good performance, dominated them from the wide positions. West Ham are truly dreadful though, so I won't get too carried away. Happy with Frank so far, and our new signings all look good.

Yeah, this might be the year the unflushable turd of the PL finally sinks beneath.

But we'll see, it seems inevitable that Potter will be gone soon and they might bring in someone competent (probably not, knowing their ownership). Their team isn't good, in terms of the quality of their squad, player-by-player, but it's also probably not relegation level either, so a competent manager might get them to perform at or slightly above that squad level.

This is an aside, but the decision to rule out Romero's goal in the West Ham vs. Spurs game was an absolute joke.

Another shocker from VAR.

I hate the sheer arrogance of Forest owner, which fantasy does he live in that 7th place finish is disappointing? Not good enough without CL? Nuno had boring defence style of play? For a team that he saved from relegation the year before? Top 10 isnt good enough? Like Forest has the money, the players to finish before City, Newcastle, Chelsea.

It is disrespectful to Forest fans that are happy to be back regularly in PL.....

Fortunate for Liverpool, but absolutely the correct call. Sucks for Burnley.

Looking fwd to the derby

These Liverpool performances so far this season... spooky, even more-so for Wirtz. Someone needs to check Mejbri's bank account.

The only top team to look the part this weekend was Arsenal.

Remember when pundits claimed the defense was Liverpool's weakness. The last two matches, one against Arsenal (tied with LFC and Chelsea for most goals scored), have yielded zero goals.

The US broadcasts of the match showed two rather older couples looking miserable as the Spurs were pulling away. They were dressed up, with the women in long fur coats. Presumably WH owners.

the player could've been sent off early on and then eventually got himself sent off. Are you asking if I think he should've been sent off much earlier?...yea probably... but I don't think it's an outrage that he didn't
