What are folks thoughts on Jimmy Butler seasons for the 2010s?

16-17- His best statistical season by conventional stats for his entire career, though slightly outdone in some advanced metrics by a couple of his Miami years (not available in this game). Higher cost at 16.5 FGA.

17-18- Undeniable impact- All NBA 2nd, helped elevate a lottery Wolves team to the third seed before getting hurt late in the season. Slightly cheaper at 15.6 FGA

18-19- Smaller offensive role playing with Embiid/Simmons, but still the same skill set at a lower cost of 13.9 FGA.

Not particularly strapped for FGA most likely, given Dirk, Lowry, and Marc all have very FGA-efficient prime seasons.

Tough question because while Jimmy's playing style did evolve a bit during that time frame, I think the primary variables that may have led to differences in output and FGA/G could be his environment: teammates, style of play and role he was expected to fulfill. I think I would tend to be more generous than most if you choose him in his Philly year. You get lower FGA/G and in my opinion, and his lower impact stats in my view reflect his role and environment more than his sudden lack of effectiveness. Not sure what other voters would think, but that's my take.

I think 2019 is the sweet spot here, bridging the gap from his 2010s to 2020s version.

Ultimately even his higher 3PA and 3P% seasons aren't warping defenses with his shot. I think he steadily improved year-to-year barring injuries from when he was drafted until 2023.

MVP Rose + Jokic is a fun pairing

Im not sure if I am better suited playing big or small with this team.

I can run Horford at center and Lebron at PF or go with Horford at PF.

Leaning max floorspacing I think...

Up Ness

Anyone else look at another team and realize that someone has built pretty much the exact same team you built in a recent game?

I'm looking at that Nash/Jrue/All Star Small Forward/Giannis/Brook team...

Granted the pool I was in had a deeper set of players, so I had prime Nash and a better All Star Small forward, but still.

I think it is easier to justify with Lebron and that he was picked in more or less the correct spot.

Hey Beer, if you wanna remake my team that got bounced in round 1 two games ago, go for it.

I mean, yeah, it was semi-competitive vs the eventual winner of that game, but still.
