I don’t have a problem with the Tyler smith extension, I think one of the most important things in football is keeping the OL together and securing good young players. I think smith is a very good player, but I’m not sure he’s one of the best in football, but he’s also still super young, just 24. I’d say the youth factor plays a role.

That being said, I’ll go back to the original thing I said about Micah. He’s a generational type of player, and these kind of players you just do whatever it takes to keep them on your roster. Daron bland, Jake ferguson, and now Tyler smith have all gotten massive extensions since the Micah parsons trade. Again, if you need to trade one or more of these guys to keep Micah then you do it. The other guys can be replaced, a guy like Micah can’t be replaced.

Therein lies the issue.
