Worst choice so far on my Top 10 is Mahomes at 2.

Here, I'll do the legwork for ya.

2018 playoffs: 2 TD 1 INT 48% completion, 3 fumbles.

2019 playoffs: 1 TD 2 INT 52% completion, 1 fumble

2020 playoffs: 0 TD 2 INT 64% completion, 1 fumble

2022 playoffs: injured

2023 playoffs: 3 TD 1 INT 61% completion, 1 fumble

2024 playoffs: 4 TD 1 INT 73% completion, 1 fumble

For his career, Lamar has 13 TD (10 pass 3 rush) 14 TO (7 INT 7 fumbles) on 59% completion percentage, dude is turds in the playoffs.

For the first 5-6 years in the league Lamar was basically a RB disguised as a QB which made him extremely easy to gameplan for in the playoffs because he was extremely one dimensional and relied mostly on his physical attributes, kind of like the football version of Westbrook. In the past year or so his game has evolved to the point where he is now a top 5 passer in the league, on top of remaining the greatest running threat in the history of the league. If we are only judging players on how good they are today then we have to give him credit for his evolution as a quarterback.
You do realize Lamar has only played 7 NFL seasons, right?

Yeah it is wild to look past someone's 6 years worth of crap and evaluate them on a game or two sample size under the assumption of "he evolved". He was even that great against Bills, even a mediocre qb like Mahomes did better against them following week.

Not picking on you because everyone thought this but who would have imagined what's happening for each team right now...funny post lol

I was poking fun at the article. A rookie recovering from season ending injury should not of been ranked so high.

his evolution as a passer is based on the last season and a half worth of data which includes RS + post. 41 TDs 4 INTs last season, 6 TDs 0 INTs this season. If you dont think thats a large enough sample to show meaningful improvement that's fine, but i'm not going to fault someone who does.

His regular season never been a problem, so his sample size is one good playoff game.

Better stats than Mahomes since Tracis Kelce became the most famous player on the Chiefs.

I feel like those stats hiding something since he has the most TDs but lower QB rating.

Jalen Hurts a mediocre QB? He’s the only guy to consistently outplay Mahomes in the playoffs head to head other than the GOAT, he finished as high as 2nd in MVP voting, and he won SB MVP en route to a ring.

Gotta understand the difference between not being able to and choosing not to. To try and throw for 250+ yards every game behind that O-line and that RB would be selfish. Not to mention it helps them control the clock every game to be so run heavy. And that he’s also a big part of why their running game is so good. But when he’s needed to throw more, he’s done it no problem.

Also, AJ Brown has had 3 straight 1000+ yard seasons with Hurts, including a couple for about 1500 yards. Went from being considered a good receiver to one of the best in the game with Hurts. Must be doing something right.

The eagles have the most uncreative offense in the history of the nfl. It’s all running and hurts throwing bombs downfield. You put hurts in a west coast system and he would put up numbers. Numbers don’t matter in the nfl anymore though

It’s not anymore unimaginative than the 90’s Cowboys offense was. They literally had 2 running plays. 4 if you count running those plays to the left or right. Irvin ran mostly curl routes. And they always ran it out of the I formation.

Allen and Jackson are the top two QBs right now. Burrow is there when healthy but I have Mahomes falling in my rankings
