Gosh, that was a good win.

I think part of what makes him effective is his delivery. Is that something you can program into a machine?

We basically have a 6 game lead with 12 games to go. Even with the Yankees soft schedule, they'd have to like win 10 straight just to make it interesting, and that's if we suddenly start playing below .500.

Rays are our nemesis, I wouldn’t put playing below .500 past them

If he throws strikes like he did today consistently, good luck to hitters

It helps us that we are facing Tampa and KC as teams that are largely elimiated from the wild card race. As of 10 days ago, Tampa Bay and KC were fighting for wild card spots, and if that was still the case it could have made the games somewhat tougher.

I've been told that the Yankees would never lose games to teams like the Twins or the Orioles, so we should probably be worried.

Then they proceed to get shutout with a whopping 2 hits and strike out 14 times to SWR and the lowly Minnesota bullpen in their first game while surrendering 7 runs.

Hope KC benches Witt in one of those games, they’re definitely done

Fisher keeps crushing it in the most stressful, late game situations

Is that my definition the job of a closer?

He’s also been getting the benefit of some calls, is it the movement on his pitches?

Either way, yes make him the closer.

I'm just glad we were able to steal at least 1 game from the Devil Rays. If we can steal at least 1 more out of the next 6 against them I'd consider it a huge success

Yankees are trash. They always just beat up on the AL Central to pump up their run differential.

Jays are up by 5 games over N.Y. and their AL East magic number is down to 7.

I thought I'd heard that they have machines now that can mimic the movement and delivery of pitchers, but I may have misunderstood.

He's got great, and tricky, stuff. I'm really hopeful that it will keep playing out. But I've also seen pitchers who relied on unusual arm angles and what can happen when they get figured out by the best hitters in the world.
