Schröder joins rare EuroBasket + World Cup MVP club — Hall of Fame case?
Only seven players in history have been MVP of both the World Cup and EuroBasket: Belov, Dalipagić, Petrović, Kukoč, Nowitzki, Gasol, and now Schröder. The first six are all already in the Naismith Hall of Fame.
Given that track record, does Schröder’s inclusion in this group make him a future Hall of Famer as well?

New GM doesn’t like him. It’s already been turned down, Hawks checked his value this summer and Perry wasn’t interested.

That’s what local media guys say, he just doesn’t want to go big getting Young. It’s not the direction he has in mind.

If that's the case
Then Trae too the Bucks, Bucks should go all in for it. I want Young teamed with a legit Center/PF

Yea, not really.
Everyone else who was introduced due to their international careers, still enjoyed a great club career.
Schroder is starting this season on his 10th team. Last summer the same team brought him back was in 2019 (!!!).
His two MVPs aren't comparable to many you mentioned. He wasn't a clear leader/dominant player. Even now it was a throw of dice between him and Franz.
It's just those "rare lists" really don't mean anything. Like people claiming Jokic shouldn't win MVP anymore, since he'll join super superior group of players - but it means nothing. Different eras, different opponents. If Jokic (or anybody else) is the best player in a given season, he should get the MVP regardless of some career comparisons. And if Schroder or whoever else "joins" some exclusive list, it doesn't mean he should get the same acknowledgement as they got. I mean, can you even compare the carry job Dirk did to Schroder's? Go to the Eurobasket thread and see how he was viewed through the first 3 quarters - people accused him putting money on Turkey. Have you ever saw such a notion towards Dirk?

Schröder is the clear cut leader of this team and Germany doesnt go on this generational run since 2022 if not for him being the leader. He is one of the best PG's in FIBA history and won all these trophies and medal's on top of it

Definitely. You have people part of the HOF only because of their college career and what Dennis did is immense.

Let's start with Sergej Belov (not to be confused with Alexander Belov, who score winning basket in famous 1972 Olympic final)
MVP of Eurobasket 1969 with 13,4 ppg (14 and 15 in Final 4), while Modestas Paulauskas averaged 17,0 ppg (18 and 20 in Final 4. Another interesting stat is that Modė averaged 10 times more personal fouls than Belov
MVP of World Cup in 1970 with 11,3 ppg. Modė averaged 11,4, but at least Belov was better at scoring in F4. Also Soviets won only 3rd place

Couldn't care less about Belov, tbh (sorry, it's my thing since 2022 and even early from 2014 - IYKYK), but per Wiki he was:
2 × EuroLeague Champion: 1969, 1971
3 × EuroLeague Finals Top Scorer: 1970, 1971, 1973
+plenty of other accolades.
So his whatever MVPs aren't his only accomplishments, you know.
And whether those MVPs were rightful? I don't know, but if you look at the stats only, Schroder was 13th in PPG and 11th in APG in the World Cup, and 10th and 1st (0.1 APG over Luka) in the Eurobasket. Not saying he didn't deserve, but you can't use stats to discredit other players while not acknowledging the fact Schroder's stats aren't jaw-dropping as well.

100% without a doubt, he should be in. It's the Naismith Hall of Fame, not NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
His current run with Germany is legendary and he's the clear leader.

That's what some people don't understand. The Naismith Hall of Fame just doesn't include players who excelled in the NBA/WNBA
With the rapid rise of European Basketball over the past 2 plus decades, we will start seeing players who never played in the NBA in the Naisnith Hall of Fame more and more.
Dennis will get in someday for sure.

Yeah I agree, playing 3 bad quarters and being accused of throwing a match by people on the internet is 100% a blackmark on his career and they should continue to refuse to vote him in.

Trae and Sabonis sounds awful. At least with Giannis I can see how they could benefit each other.
