What’s the hold up? Riley.

Wiggins was the centerpiece of a really ugly Butler trade where he didn’t extract the value he wanted out of Jimmy.

He certainly isn’t going to move him now for a nothing package without some form of pick incentive.

As much hate as Wiggins gets he’s a proven commodity in every sense. Champion, above average scorer and defender.

Dalton doesn’t have the value people think he does. Kobe Bufkin was just moved for cash considerations and no one wants Howard from Orlando and likely is cut soon.

If Im LA I give a protected FRP without ANY hesitation.

I think Riley is right to hold out for value here. Starting caliber two-way wings don't grow on trees. No reason for Riley to just give him away for LA's scraps.

Yeah that huge tax the Lakers always pay, like in that terrible Doncic trade.

I thought about this a while ago, and the third team I came up with was the Kings, but the Heat don't get Rui

Kings send Keegan/Monk to Heat
Lakers send Gabe to heat

Lakers send Rui/Knecht to Kings

Lakers recieve Wiggins without having to use any draft capital.

Just wasn't sure how the Heat would like Keegan/Monk/Gabe. Gabe was just there because Lakers needed to send someone to the Heat, Kings if not mistaken have shown interest in Rui or at least some fans have. Much better then Kleber/Gabe/Knecht IMO.

I mean, go look at all the reported asking prices for centers when the Lakers needed one? If Kwame Brown was on a roster, some team would have asked for an unprotected FRP in return for him. But I digress. In what world is Andrew Wiggins worth a recent FRP plus another lightly (or unprotected) FRP?

I’m probably wrong one to respond to this. One of Monk’s biggest fans on RealGM and still really believe in Murray..

So this looks really bad to me for Sac. Like Sac is owed value from both Miami and LAL still..

But I would think Sac would take Wiggins 10 out of 10 over Rui+Dalton.

Yeh I wasn't sure if you guys like Keegan, I thought about Demare instead, but not sure the numbers worked, I also thought the Kings have been trying to ship Monk out, wasn't sure about it? I'm high on the Kings team then most and actually have them in the playoffs this year or at least "play in"where most have them out of it, lots of talent, but fit?

Not just you. I don't think Sacramento would trade Keegan and Monk for Wiggins, and if they would, there's no reason for them to settle for Rui and Dalton instead.

Rui/Gabe is fair value for Wiggins. Lakers needing to add a 1st and/or Knecht would be highway robbery by Riley.

Without Rui, Knecht/Gabe/Kleber/1st (with some level of protection) seems fair value - although still short by something like $60k. I would imagine if Lakers had that minimum salary to throw in right now (because Bronny is obv not an option), they'd offer that. Perhaps Miami would turn it down but perhaps they should and see what they have this year before starting to sell off potentially valuable parts.

Miami should include Ware and receive Lakers first, unprotected in 2031 plus swaps in 2030 and 2032

No way MIA considers that. Those swaps are worthless.

it's fun to mock trades between the Heat and the Lakers because those two fan bases demand such sweetheart deals ... lol ... how can they trade with each other, lol

It's really not though.

It's at least close - if Miami wants to trade Wiggins.

I don't think Miami really has Wiggins aggressively being shopped, so the Lakers would need to give Miami a reason to make a deal (as Miami is perfectly happy to not make a deal). Just offering close to fair value isn't a reason.

Whats the point of Miami competing?

I know the East is weak, but that weak??

I don't see how they compete with the Cavs or Knicks?

I also prefer ATL, ORL, Bucks and PHI has higher upside

Also Det

I think Wiggins is worth a 1st, but only way salaries work is to take back Vando.

2 expirings in Gabe, Kleber, and then Vando+ a 1st and a 2nd/swap in 28?

I dont think hes worth both Knecht and a 1st.

Can also do Knecht, Kleber, Gabe, and Hayes (but in the reg season after Dec 15th)

Not swapping Rui for Wiggins, we need to add to our group, not make marginal moves

If Keegan is minimal draft pick value like this, I think Sacramento would get 20 offers from around the league immediately? I'd still LOVE him in Indy.

Cavs, Knicks, and the east is wide open after that.
They'll out this roster and see how it looks, they also have Rozier expiring if they want to upgrade at the deadline, if they aren't very good, they can sell at the deadline.
Defense wins draft lotteries!
