We can soften the restriction by removing Spurs and add Duncan, Robinson, Kawhi, Manu, Tracy, Moses, Wemby etc.

Slightly off topic but I have been thinking. Wouldn't it be easier for everyone if we started all playoff matchups 24 hours after the original pairings are produced? No one would have to check back periodically and guess which matchups they've addressed and that includes the commissioner. You know once the matchups are out there you can go through and vote for them all

Following the Jrue Holiday draft, I've been thinking about the two latest additions to the Hall of Fame - Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony.

Both can be a good basis for a draft.

Dwight's clubs: Lakers Orlando Houston Charlotte Philly Atlanta Washington

Carmelo's clubs: Knicks Denver Portland OKC Lakers Houston

Both concepts can just be about the pools those clubs create, or scavenger hunt types. Dwight has 7 clubs, so maybe "straight out of high school" category? Or championship in a non first club like the draft we did earlier? Melo has 7 clubs, so maybe "pick 3" and "All Star turned bench player"?

Yes. Rather than have to check back and start games here and there, you could do it all at once. Same for voters - can do them all at once, I think more people would hit them all more often. Just a thought.

Or to add a twist a drafter can only choose from one pool or the other.

I thought that as well, talent pool is pretty weak in the 60s. Even 70s would be better.

How about a Portland Trailblazers draft, since the team was just sold? Any player from any season, if they played for the Blazers at some point in their career.

The latter sounds tough to research. I know people aren't crazy about names based ideas but what about Three Words Names? Maybe too thin. Another easy one that would boost the talent in the pool is one time champs
