Hey Mods, is RealGM.com fixing the weird issue that's popping up again where it constantly redirects to a fake site?

Last time this happened I think it was reported to be bad ad tech causing the problem.

Been seeing it for weeks on mobile taking me here:

Been holding off for a while, but finally downloaded Brave web browser. It was a big mistake because it allowed my RealGM addition to continue. Havent had an issue since switching browsers.

I've resisted going to Colorado for my entire adult life because I just didn't think it could live up to the hype. We finally made the trip this past weekend and holy hell, what a mistake I made waiting this long. Just unbelievably beautiful and we will definitely be back. The most beautiful place I've ever been.

Next stop, Alaska. I think we're going to do Iceland next summer and Alaska the following year. Time to start checking stuff off the bucket list, because the bucket is getting closer.

Colorado is fantastic. I love the Boulder area and Colorado Springs area. Gorgeous. And flights to Denver are usually pretty cheap.

ETA the Pikes Peak Cog Railway is great. Manitou Springs is a cool little town.

Haleakalā Crater is one of my favorites. It's 'only' 10K feet but it is a true 10k variance from the sea to the top. The drive is absolutely beautiful where you are literally driving through and above the clouds. it is also cool to see the bikers going up and down. I was going like 40mph down the mountain and a guy on a road bike just blew past me.

Banff also has that variance where the hwy follows the bow valley with huge mountains on both sides. Colorado Rockies are beautiful but feel like once in the mountains you are pretty high up the whole time.

I love Colorado, albeit I spend most of my time going to Denver and Colorado Springs every December. Manitou Incline is probably my favorite activity ever and I really want to go to the sand dunes National Park.

Denver deserves its reputation. First time I visited a couple years ago I saw two separate people being treated on the side walk for ODs. My toddler was potty training and we were on the tourist 16th street trolley and he started crying and said "I peed". I was like "oh ****" as i looked at the puddle of piss under him. Then I looked closer and was like "oh ****" the homeless guy next to him was pissing his pants and the pee was running underneath my kid. That said, I do think it is a city that tries. Their Xmas decorations, light shows, drone shows, ice skating, parades, etc are fun and the downtown is still active. Every December I take my now 5 year old there to visit a friend and walk around the Christmas lights and then see how far we can make it up Manitou Incline. It is kind of fun making a little more progress each year with him being able to walk more.

We stayed in Georgetown in an Airbnb. Fantastic views, albeit a little pricey in my opinion. I think it was around $600/night (wife handled it, so I'm not sure). We had 3 of the kids with us, so it was 4 bedrooms, which contributed to the high price.

We did the 103 loop above Idaho Springs one day which is incredible. Gets you to almost 12,000 feet. Unfortunately the Mount Blue Sky road was closed (that gets you over 14,000). Echo Lake is incredible and well worth the trip if you're west of Denver. We stopped in the towns on the East side of that loop and had a great time with the locals.

Second day we headed west to Breckenridge. We had a few hours to kill before our rafting trip, so that's how we killed them. Spent some time in Frisco and Breckenridge. Beautiful little towns. Driving through the Eisenhower Tunnel and the following incline was interesting. Thank God for paddle shifters on our rental. Would've burned right through the brake pads. Rafted the Colorado out of Kremmling with a fantastic group. Not super-advanced rapids, but definitely relaxing and fun. Great day for a really stunning ride. Then headed East to Grand Lake. Really cool little town with a couple of incredible lakes. Lake Granby in particular is amazing. Crazy drive back down to I-70 (about a 4,000 foot drop in 30 miles) through switchbacks with awesome views.


Third day went to Red Rocks. Highly recommend seeing it if you haven't. I have no idea how they built that thing. Magnificent. Then bummed around Denver for the rest of the day. Meh. It's a big city, which isn't why we were there, but the kids and wife wanted to shop and have lunch so clearly I lost that battle. I'd completely skip Denver next time I'm there.

Only downside was that I was a little surprised at how expensive it was. Maybe everywhere is expensive now, but it was a hell of a lot more money to eat and drink than it is around here.

Solid A. A+ without Denver.

Kauai is definitely beautiful, but I'd take Colorado personally. May be recency bias. I've never been to Switzerland, but hope to get there someday.

That's the plan for the next trip. We didn't get North of Denver at all. Just didn't have enough time. And, since you mentioned flights, the only reason she finally got me to go was that she had expiring points and she had just enough to get us to Denver for free.

Rocky Mountain National Park is better than I expected. Like many NP you need a reservation and the Bear Lake area of the park requires a separate reservation (worth it)

Yeah, Grand Lake is on the southeast border of Rocky Mountain. We were hoping to get in there, but we didn't have time. Next time for sure.

We are in the market for a new washer and dryer. Any recommendations?

I had a Samsung washer for a few years. Side load. It looked fancy and had bells and whistles (literally) but didn't last very long.

About two weeks ago, I bought a Speed Queen washing machine. It looks industrial, like something you'd find in a laundry mat. My wife hates how it looks, but it is very highly rated.

We haven't had much hardware but Wisconsin big 3 sports has still been very lucky the last 10-20 years with extended periods of competitiveness and very few down periods. Packers basically always competitive over last 30 years other than a few seasons. Bucks since Giannis obviously (dark times before that) and Brewers since Doug Melvin, Stearns and Arnold. I'd probably take that over a couple more championships.

But I think in the next year or two Pack add a Bowl and even hopeful for the Brewers. Pretty cynical on the Bucks. Think we're back to the dark days sooner rather than later.

I prefer the mountains in Montana a bit more. It feels more wild. The area around yellowstone NP north and south of that is crazy.
