thats cap. I just watched the 05 all star game comeback with AI and bron and it was still fire.
And how old were you?
16. I dont see how thats relevant. This is objectively a great basketball game.

Not enough for the stars.
What if only the winners are classified as "all stars" which can affect your next contract like All NBA teams does?
Losing teams aren't recognized at all.

dude, just watch pre-2002 and you will see that, while they are not playing super hard, they are playing a decent game. That's all we ask.
No 10 year old from today is going to remember these games as anything but a joke.
True. It look like 20 years ago the defender would give the player with the ball 6 feet of space whereas today they give the player 10 feet of space.

Re: All-Star weekend idea
The Clippers are hosting the upcoming All-Star game. I'd love to see an event where there is a giant inflatable baseball cap in the middle of the floor. Owners have to race to get around the cap as quick as they can. Pablo Torre is on the court too and any owner he touches is out. The owner able to most quickly and deftly circumvent the cap without getting touched by Pablo Torre is the winner. Show some balls and lean into this, Adam Silver.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

I know players dont want to be the social media punching bag if they lose 1v1, but it would be fun for fans and generate loads more interest. The players can get over their ego; fans will love it. 8 or 16 player bracket.
24 player bracket for every all-star and random seeding.
I think that until the semi-finals, games should be short, up to 7. The semi-finals can be up to 11 and the finals up to 21.
Huge cash incentives may help...1st place gets $5 million, 2nd place gets $3.5 million, 3rd and 4th place each get $2.5 million. With major money on the line, players may actually take it seriously.
