During the 2030–31 NBA season, Victor Wembanyama will turn 27 years old. He should be peaking around that time.
Until then, he has five full seasons to complete.
What type of production or value will he be bringing in the 2030–31 season?

Where you have Peak KG, he will be ahead of him.

I have peak KG as a clear top 10, yet I totally agree

This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.

In terms of the ongoing project, I think his peak will end up being top 2 of the 21st century along with LeBron. In fact, I'd probably evaluate his career in those terms as well. It would be a disappointment if he doesn't end up in the "mix" with the top 6 of LeBron/Duncan/Jokic/Steph/Shaq/KG - if he does, then he's met expectations. A good outcome beyond simply meeting expectations would be joining LeBron in the top two (whether that means surpassing him or just being seen as clearly over the others).

Bro is already arguably a top 3 player in the league, clear ahead of Giannis, Brunson and others.
In 2031? In 2028, he'll already be peaking as GOAT

Hopefully he'll have won 22 games in a season by then.

For his sake, hopefully he doesn't end up missing 1/3 of each season. Don't think turning up to work 3 days in a five day week, regardless of how good the individual is, merits much praise. If all the players, stars particularly, alltime had done that, longevity and peak seasons would be much better. Giving the fans their money's worth and playing as much as possible is always held highly.

He played 71/82 (86.6%) games in his rookie season. He was at 46/52 (88.4%) in his second season before being diagnosed with a blood clot and missed the remainder of the season. Yeah, if he regularly gets blood clots that'll be concerning for his, well, life, but otherwise he's played plenty of basketball.

Wasn't it Popovich that created load management?

If you can answer how healthy, we can better answer how good. Assuming he has no serious injuries or conditions between now and then, stays in San Antonio, and works hard on both his physical conditioning and his game, he has the potential to be the generational player of his generation as players such as LeBron, Shaq, Jordan, Magic/Bird, Kareem, Russell/Wilt, and Mikan were before him.

"Man, how good will Bill Walton be in 1979!"

More seriously, Wemby's game could develop in a lot of different directions right now. Does he keep up the volume 3 shooting? Does he develop a slow-it-down finesse post game? Does he gain the weight to establish deep post position? Does his out-of-nowhere shotblocking develop into a more cerebral defensive control of space? Will he play heavy minutes or will the famous Spurs load-managment strategy cruel his numbers?
So many possibilities, but absolutely all the tools are available to him.
