Give me Deron at #1.

He had the highest peak out of these guys. If you watched the games, his prime Jazz years are there with almost any point guard who ever played.

Lololololol

No

it looks funny at first i agree. but peak deron williams was nasty. People were comparing him and cp3 all the time. Not sure if i would rank him above Dame, but its not that big of a gap as it may seem. Dame is a better scorer, but dwill could really pass and get those dimes. they both had bad teams tbh. always hard for me to compare when the teams were just **** for most part of their careers.

Deron was awesome and we were robbed of his peak by injuries. That said, I would have:

Lillard
Haliburton
Deron
Young

Though I expect Hali will surpass Lillard.

second person i seen say that? im actually not sure how the achilles affects him since since he barely ever goes left anyway and he cant guard anyone anyway. Thats not a diss, actual optimism.

Dame > DWill > Haliburton > Trae

I feel like DWill and Dame are very close, more of a 1a 1b. Peak DWill was an absolutely incredible player.

The CP3 comparison with DWill started coming mostly because he would bust CP's ass in head to head matchups, for whatever reason. He was never really in the same class as him overall.

But he was an absolutely brilliant offensive player. He and Dame have had some amazing offensive seasons.

Playoffs wise Deron had some great series in the west, but I'm struggling to think of Dame's best playoff series. Is it vs the Thunder in '18? In general I've been underwhelmed by his playoff performances but maybe I'm forgetting some.

Trae is the worst defender but you could argue he's the best offensive player here.

Haliburton is probably the most teammate friendly and least ball dominant. I don't think his offense holds up against the other three but he's a better defender and is as clutch as any of them.

This may be true, but Haliburton has also had 2 seasons as a top 15-ish player (as evidenced by his two All-NBA 3rd team selections), and in the 2023-24 season through early January, he was on his way to getting legit MVP votes until he got injured.

I don't have a problem with someone placing Deron above Haliburton due to his long and consistent career, but Haliburton's peak is already pretty comparable and maybe a hair above, despite him being only 25.

Deron Low key one of the worst hairlines and cover in the NBA, Would still put Trae last

And yeah, I wouldnt argue Haliburton over Deron, I just put Deron over with the body of work with more good to elite seasons then Haliburton,

When Haliburton comes back and is still a good contributor and just hits the ceiling of "hes talked about as an all star" for 2-3 years I would probably say Haliburton over Deron
