Do you think this is possible at this point?

Sure, it's possible, just hire guys who are actually enthusiastic about today's game, it's not that deep nor difficult.

I do not really like NBA, but the fact this needs to be said is actually unbelievable. Fascinating Inside the NBA got to do what they do.

The NBA is the only major sport that does this. Other major sports cream themselves over the modern athlete. I sincerely hope Amazon follows through with their promise

I rather them cover it objectively.

what other sport has players making $50M+ per year and still demand to be paid off the books because 50M is not enough money for them?
what other sport has players who won't even take a long distance shot because they care about stats more than winning?
what other sport has players who have enough power to get their own coaches fired?
what other sport has players who use social media burner accounts and tweet like teenage girls?

has anyone ever considered that modern nba players are coddled, thin-skinned divas and that maybe its not all the media's fault?

Of course...and it's just common freaking sense if you want to make money off the NBA. ESPN's constant trash talk of the league is baffling. Why tell us the game sucks and then put the games on?

Apparently the NBA is the only sport that somehow peaked in the ‘90s and then got progressively worse ever since.

I’m sure that narrative has nothing to do with propping up a certain player.

Being objective would sound like you were gushing over how great it is vs. how ESPN and TNT cover it.

I think that's been true of successful people since the dawn of time. It doesn't change how great the modern player is.

Sounds like you’re not gonna like Amazon’s NBA coverage.

“Hate watching” is a real phenomenon. I personally find it amusing to watch these guys come up with fake and contrived reasons to hate the league.

Apparently, players getting their coaches fired is a major reason why today’s NBA sucks. I had no idea that Wilt Chamberlain was a modern player.

Wasn't that Doris Burke's announcing style? We see what that did for her

Yeah, but no one says that the league shouldn't be criticized here and there. Players are immensely skilled these days, we have the most globalized league ever and the biggest parity that we've seen (7 champions in the last 7 years) - there's plenty of things to build positive coverage on without any propaganda.

~Top3 player of the 90s was a pedophile, I'd rather take KDs burner accounts and JHs antics.

What else was Amazon's sports chief going to say? "We're Going to Trash TF out of this league." They should be promoting it in the best light possible.

And to echo earlier sentiments, we do indeed live in unusually cynical times. Hate Watching should be studied, it's quite sad. If only the cynicism and energy were directed toward things of more importance.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

As much as these media/big tech want to tell us how to think about things, modern people are too smart for that. If there are actual issues with the present nba, the complaints are very valid
