Sure stopping the run is a collective effort but the middle of the line is usually the heart of your run defense. The Browns have two very good young backs in Judkins and Sampson and they absolutely need to run the ball effectively to have a chance. For me it's simple, stop the run and it's an easy win.

Wooden bulked up over the offseason, changed his body, it looks like it’s paid off. Ripe time for him and Brooks in their third year to really take steps forward. Wyatt too in his fourth.

Brooks is like 295lbs, Wyatt is around 304lbs, before bulking up Wooden used to play at 275 so he must be around Brooks weight. We're far from Kenny at 315 and Slaton 340 with whom we finished 3rd in ypc. The issue for me is not if they can do the job, they proved it during the first two weeks but can they sustain it? As long as we can play with a lead in most games they will be ok but it's a long season and wear and tear is inevitable. Unless Stackhouse makes significant progress during the season, this is probably the only real area of weakness this team may have. Let's hope they can keep playing at this level.

Wyatt's been good for awhile. Everything pointed to him being more productive than Slaton and Clark for the last few years and yet he was relegated to only 40% of defensive snaps. He ranked 4th in sacks/hits/hurries per pass rush attempt in 2023 and ranked 2nd last year. Top 10 in pass rush win rate both years (for interior defenders). Graded out as an average run defender...not bad enough to keep him off the field for 60% of snaps. Glad he's a starter now at least

Gary's always been a stud run defender on the edge, and as much as I've been a critic of Quay, he's playing with fire and getting downhill more than I've ever seen from him. We were a good run defense last season (Top-10 in yards, DVOA, and Top-3 in YPC allowed) and that was with Kenny arguably having his worst season in a long while. I don't think it should be much of a surprise that the run defense is good. The "Micah isn't great against the run" stuff was always just cope from salty Dallas and division fans.

Good news on Kraft - minor knee tweak, should play Sunday.

Ugh, yeah he's not playing and honestly just sit him until after the bye at least. Silver lining is that this is the perfect opportunity for Musgrave to finally break out.

I saw it in a notification - that he should be involved Sunday. But I don't remember where now?

EDIT: Found it.

Official word on Kraft's status will come from the Packers on Friday via head coach Matt LaFleur and the team's injury report, but it looks like the tight end should be part of the plan for this Sunday's game against the Browns.

Looks like was before MLF said he was up in the air, though.

I'd be thrilled at a Musgrave coming out party but also wouldn't be surprised if he gets out-snapped by Fitzpatrick who's better in the run game and has shown some ability in space. They've got pretty much the same snap-count up until now so hopefully one of them steps up.

Kraft is insane so I have no doubt he'll beg to be out there
