2010s Draft - R1 - Dr Positivity* vs MadNess

Post#1 » by durantbird » Fri Sep 19, 2025 1:22 pm

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

PG: Derrick Rose (2011: 19.7 FGA)
SG: Ray Allen (2010: 12.2 FGA)
SF: Paul George (2013: 14.9 FGA)
PF: Pascal Siakam (2019: 11.8 FGA)
C: Nikola Jokic (2019: 15.1 FGA)

PG/SG: Patty Mills (2013: 4.2 FGA)
SF: Joe Ingles (2017: 5.5 FGA)
PF/C: David West (2017: 3.7 FGA)

87.1 / 88

PG: Derrick Rose (38) / Patty Mills (10)
SG: Ray Allen (36) / Patty Mills (6) / Joe Ingles (6)
SF: Paul George (38) / Joe Ingles (10)
PF: Pascal Siakam (38) / Joe Ingles (6) / David West (4)
C: Nikola Jokic (38) / David West (10)

GL Madness

Defensive matchups: Rose on Westbrook, George on Durant, Allen on Harden, Siakam on Ibaka, Jokic on Pau

While we have some defensive issues, it's not like he's in incredible position on that end either against my perimeter, we try to make up for it on the other end with Harden chasing Allen around, and Pau or Ibaka (one on one D against a center wouldn't be the best use of his skillset) against Jokic. We try to catch Harden and Westbrook being lost off the ball on D against Jokic offense.

The OKC guys have never played with prime Harden hence Westbrook and Harden along with Durant's iso-ing is a lot of mouths to feed. We have balanced mix of Jokic's passing with Rose's athleticism at C, Siakam is a great PF for him and Allen and George off the ball. I believe rookie Anunoby and 2011 Wallace are the two weakest bench players in the series.

PG: Russell Westbrook (39) | Andre Iguodala (9)
SG: James Harden (39) | Andre Iguodala (9)
SF: Kevin Durant (38) | Andre Iguodala (10)
PF: Serge Ibaka (33) | OG Anunoby (15)
Cc: Pau Gasol (38) | Ben Wallace (10)

Image

Total: 88.0 | 88.0 FGA

16’-17’ Kevin Durant 16.5 FGA Champion | All Star | MVP (9)
16’-17’ James Harden 18.9 FGA MVP (2) | All NBA 1 | APG Champion | All Star
15’-16’ Russell Westbrook 18.1 FGA All NBA 1 | All Star | MVP (4)
09’-10’ Pau Gasol 13.0 FGA All NBA 3 | All Star | Champion
14’-15’ Andre Iguodala 6.4 FGA FMVP
11’-12’ Serge Ibaka 7.4 FGA DPOY (2) | All NBA D 1 | BPG Champion
17’-18’ OG Anunoby 4.7 FGA 37% 3’s | 3 & D
10’-11’ Ben Wallace 3.0 FGA Hustle & D

The OG OKC team (WB, Harden, Durant, Ibaka) except all in their prime, with peak Pau Gasol and prime Iggy. Young OG and old Ben Wallace fill good roles on this team as well. WB, Harden and Durant are all in their peaks in this time frame, and all top 10 players from this time frame. Everyone forgets how good Gasol was. Stacked unit here.

GL Dr. P.

OKC couldn’t afford Harden. Everyone knows if that core stays together they win multiple rings. We give that team all the same players but at their best, plus peak Pau Gasol and a good bench. Unstoppable.

We will take advantage of WB’s and Hardens explosiveness and blow by Rose and Ray Allen.

This is Pacers PG, so Durant should have his way.

Younger less polished Jokic vs peak Pau Gasol would be fun.

Idk man, I love my team and I know everyone’s going to hate it.

This is the 2010’s draft and we have 3 of the top 10 players from 2010’s, all at their best.

Vote NESS.

I probably would’ve been one of the biggest fans of your team.
