After the match, Amorim said he won't change his philosophy.

Sound plan. How's that been working thus far:

- 16 defeats in 31 PL games
- Yet to win back-to-back PL matches
- PL win-rate of 26%

Chelsea is going to have a field day next week with their midfield.

We're doomed. I'm all for principles and systems yet results matter most. And being adaptable is key to success IMO.
Meanwhile... still can't score, can't stop goals and can't get points.

Problem is that in the PL, managers don't get more than a season to build up a club.

NF had a season which exceeded all expectations and yet he's out because he criticized the director of operations and the owner.

Apparently no such thing as creating a culture and developing players in the PL. That should be done before a club is promoted and the team-building is all done at the transfer windows.

Results are expected immediately thereafter.

Philosophy works with proper players fitting it. Players Man U have are not fit for his philosophy so he is doomed for failure.
Great coaches create systems around the strenghs of the players they have instead of trying to force players into systems which do not work for them. He is gone by New year.

Having a philosophy that you follow strictly as a coach is great and everything but only if you are historical winner.

Examples, Pep at Barca or Alex Ferguson at United or Mourinho winning two CLs. Those coaches derserve that patience because they used their players so well that they won big titles for years. Man utd has a terrible, unbalanced squad and a hack of coach at this level.

Amorim, Ange Postecoglou are hacks as fake ideologues simply because....they arent good enough to coach a top team in PL or La Liga level imho.

Pool is going to pull away unless Arensal wins tomorrow.

Interesting, didn't realize Bournemouth also has 9 points and they host Newcastle tomorrow so they have a chance to get to 12 points.

Very early though.

Some of the worst game management I've ever seen from Maresca in this match. Completely baffling.

After the match, Maresca revealed that Cole Palmer was not fully fit. Why start him then?

Arsenal escape by the skin of their teeth to salvage a point.

Ironically one of their worst finishers finesses a lob over the goalkeeper.

Couldn't ask for a better result between Arsenal and Manchester City. In other words, Liverpool won today.

Have to say, that's a really good goal from Martinelli, that. Times his run well, holds off Gvardiol, perfectly lobs Donnarumma at an awkward angle.

Could have been a 5-0 Palace HT lead. This run of luck has to run out?

I think Slot's set up has hurt them today a bit , no left winger and no width. Extra CM to keep the ball but they cant keep the ball right now.
