Lol what? Thats not how things work. Just because you're ice cold right now doesnt guarantee you're gonna be red hot next week. Like...what? lmao

If anything, you want to be playing your BEST baseball going into the playoff. Not your worst. You think they can just flip a switch and suddenly play amazing the second the clock ticks over to the playoffs?

Crazy that a .205 hitter is a lock

Springer really needs to be moved to at least the #2 spot in the batting order.

Great start to the game.
A clean inning by Trey would be huge to keep the momentum.

Davis just always looks like he's going to miss those type of fly balls

You can change the order around a bit, but when nobody is hitting it won't make much of a difference.

Middle of the 5th - New York and Baltimore tied at 0.

EDIT - Make it 1-0 Baltimore. Home run Bassallo.

And he’s not.

Yeah, why show any urgency as an organization with only a week left and an off day tomorrow? It’s only the season on the line.

This organization's analytics believes that Kirk needs two rest days in a row. It does not matter how critical this game is. This organization is using the same wonderful analytics, which instructed Schneider to take out Berrios after three innings during the embarrassing 2023 Wild Card elimination game. Trust the process.

Would I have started Kirk with the day off tomorrow -- yes. But for me it was not that far from 50/50.

Its been quite a grind for him at the plate recently, and getting a reset from having to deal with catching for a few days (especially with a new pitcher he has not worked with) might be best for him doing better the next 6 days.

They were tough plays, but Barger has to make at least one of the two.
