My Uncle was a Mets fan. His reasoning was because the Yankees were one of the last teams to integrate.

Warren has the stuff of Gerrit Cole, but the mental fortitude of AJ Burnett. 7.40 ERA now against playoff opponents this season. He shouldn't even sniff the postseason.

The starters are gonna be Fried, Rodon, Cam and Gil.

I don’t think he makes the bullpen either unless someone gets injured.

Anyway, I still don’t have much confidence in this team come playoff time. I don’t trust anyone in the pen outside of Bedard, and I definitely don’t trust Boone’s decision making. They’re gonna find a way to justify putting Volpe back in the lineup. Also, I don’t trust the defense to make fundamentally sound plays.

The Yankees could have easily swept Boston had Boone not punted the game by starting Warren, who the Red Sox own, and putting a career quadruple A player at leadoff. Boone's fascination with guys like Warren, Williams, Leiter and Volpe is the main reason why the Yankees are looking up in the standings and seeing Toronto ahead of them by 4 games.
