And Bisaccia doesn't have input on what bubble roster guys we keep for ST purposes? If it's a personnel issue like all you guys keep saying, then it should be pretty easy then to pluck any assistant off the street for dirt cheap. Like, we can suck on special teams without paying a guy Top-3 assistant money to suck on special teams.

Lots of overreaction here. Can't imagine social media/message boards being this prominent in the Favre era.

Every team loses a game they shouldn't have. Eagles lost to the Saints last year. Like PP said, **** happens. We're the youngest team in the NFL - learn from it and rebound from it.

Counterpoint: They paid top money for a guard and drafted another tackle in the 2nd round because they don't trust Morgan as a starter anywhere on the line right now.

:dontknow:

I thought he'd be much more plug and play and not need as much development, but I think they still trust him quite a bit. I have to imagine his head is swimming right now not being able to settle into a position. He's already rotating at RG with Rhyan and he's the first sub on the line where they've asked him to play 4 positions in 3 games already (even RT which he's never played).

He had a bad game, no doubt but I think he's better than what he's shown. Hell, he was probably a better blocker in that Cleveland game than Elgton, Walker and Rhyan were, they got constantly beat like a drum.

I'm sure Bisaccia has some roster input, as every other ST coach has had. As the OC and DC have. And the HC. The final roster decisions are Gutes. How much Bisaccia is paid is irrelevant. It affects nothing. Sure, he's overpaid but it's irrelevant.

Between Bisaccia & Fickell l do think we've learned recently that the top coach on the market isn't always the best. That said, Bisaccia's units before Green Bay were almost always above average, not great, but also not terrible. So I'm not sure if it's the personnel, something MLF is doing, or if the game has passed Bisaccia by(he is an old man now)

McManus needs to stop kicking off into the end zone

I still can't get over Rasheed talking smack only to go out there and play like a bum. Costly penalties on top of a crap performance too.

Last year as in 2024? You mean when the Eagles BEAT THE SAINTS on the way to finishing 14-3 and winning the Super Bowl?

Lots of copium here.

Losing to a team QB'd by a 40 year-old Joe Flacco, while featuring a horrible offensive line and continuing awful STs play, is a bad, bad loss.

Learn from sharty STs play? You mean like the last 2 losses before this and the entirety of MLF's tenure?

Oh well, we can always fall back on being the youngest team in the NFL as if that is some badge of honor.

Micah taking Lukas under his wing might be huge for his development. He's learning more moves other than bull rushing through a guy.

Also helps his broken thumb is healed.

Just for more crapping on the OL, here are just the pass blocking grades from them

Belton 39.2
Jenkins 33.6
Rhyan 24.8
Morgan 22.5
Walker 15.7
Banks 12.1
Tom 0.0(only 1 snap)

Just a brutal performance from the OL yesterday. I don't think I've ever seen a OL have a collectively worse grade

Ok, so it was the Falcons they lost to. At HOME. Barkley dropped an easy pass that would have iced the game. Falcons got the ball back with 1:39 left and drove 70 yards for the winning TD. Hurts threw a pick to end the game. It was a bad loss. At home.

The point is that bad losses happen to good teams. It's not that hard to understand.

Anyone calling for MLF's job at this moment is silly. You obviously wouldn't fire a guy now. I would look elsewhere, however, without some signficant post season success this year. At some point you need accountability if your team consistently does the same thing over and over again.

I always go back to Dungy. Great guy, great coach, well liked by his players. Could never finish the job. Gruden comes in and takes the same guys to a super bowl victory in year one. Complacency is real, especially with modern athletes. Sometimes you need a new voice and/or gameplan to get to your ultimate goal.

As someone who can't stand the guy for the most part it pains me to say that ideally you'd have a guy like Campbell with Lafleur as your OC and Hafley as your DC. Being the youngest team in the league, I think a former player with a bit more in the groinal dept would go a long way. To me, MLF is kind of like Mike McDaniel with a better roster. There's an expiration date.

As always, the crow would be mighty tasty. I once predicted McCarthy was a great regular season coach that would never win a super bowl. Took a handful of miracles on a magic carpet ride but he eventually did. My point is, how many 10-12 win regular season win/early postseason exits do we wait this out?

Lol, you're right, they barely beat the Saints, thank you for CALMLY CORRECTING ME

I was thinking of that bad loss to the Falcons - https://www.google.com/search?q=eagles+2024+schedule&rlz=1C1RXQR_enUS1160US1160&oq=eagles+2024+schedule&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyDwgAEEUYORiDARixAxiABDIHCAEQABiABDIHCAIQABiABDIHCAMQABiABDIHCAQQABiABDIHCAUQABiABDIHCAYQABiABDIICAcQABgWGB4yCAgIEAAYFhgeMggICRAAGBYYHtIBCDIzNDlqMGo3qAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11y4nbzx3c;6;/m/059yj;dt;fp;1;;;

With that said, you half proved my point. You can lose bad games and still have a great season. It happens. Onto the next.

I'm far from being doom and gloom. Lots of reason to still believe we're the best team in the conference (Philly fluking their way to another win doesn't change my mind). But I think the 2-0 start also papered over some legitimate concerns and I'd be saying the same things even if we had pulled this one out. The run game is DOA right now (sub 3.0 yards per carry when filtering out QB runs and jet sweeps is atrocious), and it's pretty concerning how the Tom injury has seemed to completely de-rail the entire O-line.

LaFluer needs to get back in his bag, because as much as we all love finally having a great defense, his play-calling is reflecting that a little too much and it feels like he's coaching not to lose with a lot of the 2nd half stuff. Getting Golden more involved was a positive sign. More of that going forward please. Figure the run game out, use the early bye to get healthy, and let's rip off 4-5 of the next 6-games here like we should.

I'm not jumping off the ledge or wanting people fired, cut, or benched.

However, Love needs to learn how to be a game manager with the defense he has. If he can't do that without making costly throws against teams that our defense is completely shutting down then Willis needs to be under center sooner rather than later.

The other underrated mistake is how did Golden not house this? Look at Savion's reaction lol

Yeah that was super weird. He might have thought the defender had a better angle on him is my only thought. Dude has to know he's faster than pretty much everyone on the field though. Very "TJ Ford going coast-to-coast and then getting caught too far underneath the basket" vibes.

Oof, I'd missed that play entirely. Yeah that should absolutely be 6.
