I am going to be the pointy elbows guy and say I am not too impressed by this Beer broad. She looks bit too plastic, Herbert can do better.

Eli is 11th in TDs, 11th in yards, 12th in game winning drives, and he beat Tom Brady head to head for two superbowls. Aside from his name boost, he’s cake walking in.
If Russell Wilson plays like 2-3 more years he will basically have this same resume too in addition to all the rushing stats.
Point is, both players weren’t really ever the best players or among the best players at their position but both were “very good” for a very long time. Both have longevity on their side.
He won’t because he won’t have two Superbowls against the medias GOAT, and he won’t have the biggest underdog win ever. He’s one of 5 guys with multiple superbowl MVPs.
Eli is going to get treated like Reggie Miller, but if Reggie Miller beat the 72-10 Bulls, and beat Jordan for another title
But what’s the chances Russell starts 2-3 more years?
No idea. He did have 450 yards last week. If he occasionally puts up random 400 yard games I feel like some team will give him another shot but maybe not, who knows.

Re: Week 3 Thread
Can you guys imagine an offense of
QB: Vanilla Vick
RB1: Saquon Barkley
RB2: Cam Skattebo
WR1: Malik Nabers
LT: Andrew Thomas
I bet that offense would be humming right now…
Anyways off topic, how’s Russ looking nowadays?

Wentz average time to throw yesterday: 2.5 seconds
So Wentz was getting the ball out half a second quicker and that is also with Darrisaw being back.
That half a second is huge in the NFL. Until JJ can improve his processing time, he needs to stay on the bench. It’s not like Wentz lit it up yesterday, but he showed he could be a solid game manager. And this what this offense needs. Be a solid game manager and let the skill guys make the plays.
I'm kind of worried about the potential of Wentz starting the two games in Europe and looking decent, then the Vikings try to go back to McCarthy after the bye against the Eagles, Ravens and Chargers. That seems like it could be just setting him up for failure. People will immediately be calling for his head.
It probably makes the most sense to let Wentz keep playing as a long as he looks decent.
Doesn't this make KOC look questionable? It can't be a surprise that the kid wasn't ready or didn't get rid of the ball fast enough. That would show up in practice, yet KOC put him out there.
Or maybe he was expected to start McCarthy because the front office deemed it so, though after the win over the Bears, he sounded like he believed in the kid.

I mean it really depends on which reports you believe. There were reports over the summer KOC didn’t want to move onto JJ yet. Reports saying there was some internal push to resign Darnold, but front office and cap people didn’t want to spend money on a QB. Reports saying that it was KOC who was pushing to bring Rodgers in and he was the main reason that saga lasted as long as it did.
And to be fair that would kind of fit the Vikings and Wilf’s M.O. That they kind of keep the coaching staff and front office pretty separated. This has been very well documented with Spielman and Zimmer. Zimmer legit had zero input and no idea on who was being drafted up until they made the call on draft day. When they hired Kwesi they made it very well known that Kwesi was going to have zero input on the HC hire.
With that said, it is also pretty well known that Flores was very very adamant on the front office to bring in Greenard and Gink last year and Isaiah Rodgers this year. So who really knows how separated the two groups are. But ya I do believe the reports that KOC preferred to roll with Darnold or Rodgers this year. There was a lot of smoke with those reports. And the way KOC was over coaching the first two games. I don’t think he has much confidence that JJ can handle the full plate at the moment

Giants currently have a semi elite defensive line. I’m not convinced skat is a quality starter. What’s the difference between him and charbs? They’re both better suited for spot carries (8-9 per game)
Dabolls play calling is interesting. Kind of reminds me of a mixture of Chan gailey when he used to run a bunch of deep posts.

If The Bengals go 1-5 or 0-6 without Burrow do you shut him down for the year and go for a high pick?

I think they have one of the better defensive lines. And I agree that Skattebo isn’t a full on starter yet. But in this scenario, he’s RB2 behind Saquon and a nice change of pace back.
I was just posting this to show how badly they screwed up. And I think this mostly falls on Daboll. I think he gained a ton of hype because he was the OC when Josh Allen took off. I’m not even sure he’s a high quality OC, let alone a legit HC

Hmmm, if the Colts trade for Tyreek Hill, are they the favorite in the AFC to win the Super Bowl
