Brutal... He was on the decline but this just probably relegates him to bench level player when he returns. Also, the Rockets likely get knocked down a peg.

That’s a huge blow to Houston. They’ll still be good, but might cap if they can be great or not. I wonder if Sheppard is ready for an increased role or not?

For them it's worst position to lose, given how stacked they are at C yet losing PG is massive blow.
I guess starting 5 is now :
Amen
Sheppard
Durant
Jabari
Segun

Should probably trade one of Capela/Adams for guard at some point.

If the Rockets can move Capela, they may be able to free up enough to trade for Anfernee's expiring contract somehow. That would be alot of money they would have to free up though. Simons would excel with Durant and that team.

Didn't they just get back Capela from Atlanta?

He cannot be traded until December 15th.

Milwaukee wants to plan for Nikola Jokic when he is free agent in 2027 offseason. They want to pair him with Giannis.

Man, speaking of fact, will Giannis stay that long in Milwaukee. Plus we do not know yet if Jokic will sign the contract extension next year or not.

Whispers have said Denver had no sign of Jokic leaving.

But we all know there are something in the shadow happening. Who knows when a blockbuster trade kicks in.

Is this roster of Orlando enough to get us a Championship? Honest question

1) Does Paolo get above league-average efficiency?
2) Does Franz relearn how to shoot the 3-ball?
3) Can the team get/stay healthy?

If we can say yes those question, the answer is yes to your question.

Thank you for your response. Very detailed.

But this means we are stopping making moves any further and ride it out as what it is before the Playoff?

First of all, I do not have an agenda of us getting another super star.

But what should the timeline be? To ride it out before trade deadline?

If this works out, fine. But are we good enough of beating teams like Denver and OKC, also Cleveland plus New York.

Should we still look at opportunities that could still elevate the team when opportunities come? If some names pop up in the trade market.

Or back to my question: Is this a complete team?

What if Giannis and Jokic can not win a championship this year, both of them are free agents in 2027. Something real interesting could happen then.

But that is down the line. Anyway...

I like our team, even though we are guard heavy. We have Suggs, AB, Tyus and Jase at PG. Bane, Jett at SG.

It will be really interesting to see how they do in training camp. Jalen Suggs could possibly not be ready yet for the start of training camp and that is big news.

If we can stay healthy this year, I think this Magic team will shock a lot of people

Am I crazy for thinking CJ McCollum ends up on the Magic by end of year?

CJ makes $30 mil... it would be very difficult for the Magic to make the money work while also giving Washington something they'd want. Our contracts are very top heavy at the moment.

It would have to be something ridiculous like WCJ, Goga, and AB or just Suggs for 34 year old CJ. No thanks.

Maybe CJ gets bought out but we'd still need to find a way to dump salary to pick him up at the minimum.

You think he is gonna stick around Washington being happy and not get bought out?
