McConnell would require his team option declined on his last year (and then would be extension eligible summer 26), but Hali, Siakam, Nemby, Obi, McConnell, Nesmith, Furphy, and Huff would be eligible for veteran extensions, and Sheppard and Walker would be eligible for rookie contract extensions.

This could be a major seasons for future team building decisions.

The obvious answer is Bradley but one of the current 15 needs to leave to make room for a 2026 FRP. The 2027 FRP spot is trickier but I'm leaning toward TJ aging out. Should one of the two-ways deserve a promotion, it gets even trickier to predict the roster.

I would imagine we see multiple trades of multiple bodies by then. If not, we would have largely the exact same roster for 4-5 years, which would set a modern record in the NBA. Heck, at this moment, TJ McConnell is the ONLY player on the roster that was here 5 years ago.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that I think the Pacers are set at this point it's just a matter of a final roster spot, does Bradley stay as the backup center behind Huff who most likely starts. As soon as Jackson and or Wiseman is able to play I'd expect Bradley to get traded or cut. But does Bradley have any value to any team?

I think we stick with all 15 unless we decide we need a one year rental of a veteran point guard.

Wacko,... I'm with ya. Listening to what Coach has said over his last few interviews,... and how he said it, IMO, he's not just 'making do', but happy with where this team is & what it can do this next year. Would he love to have Tyrese,... oh yeah, but I don't think he's lowered his expectations that much?

If there are changes,... again IMO, they will come into the season based on how the team is performing? Of course, if something drops into our laps that positively shifts the teams ability to win,... of course, they would go for it,.... but I don't think the Coaching staff is looking at this as a down-graded season, let alone a lost season?

Well I'm not real happy about the things we can't change like TH being hurt and Turner leaving but we'll go with what we have and see what happens.

I'm really looking forward to what Mathurin can do at SG and how good will Huff be as a starting center? He might make us forget about Myles Turner.

In that idea,...Hoops rumors (Rory Maher) just released a story on his 7 'breakout candidates' for the 25-26 season,... both Drew & Benn made the list.

I had assumed this was just an exhibit ten signing and waiving to get him to the Boom, but he hasn’t been waived yet. :dontknow:

Maybe he’s brought to camp? Competing for a twoway spot in case one opens?

Also, Marc Stein reporting today that Indy worked out Delano Banton, but decided not to progress with him....

I would assume this means that Indy will continue looking to bring in a vet PG for camp? Most likely not guaranteed vet minimum, so look for the Corey Joseph's of the world? Maybe a Cam Payne/Delon Wright kind of guy? Maybe a younger guy like Killian Hayes? Who knows.

Suggests Jackson and Wiseman may be healthy enough to let Bradley go.

Yup. Pretty much any concept of a “roster spot battle” in camp requires Bradley being waived, which probably requires Jackson and Wiseman being healthy?

From article:

'Indiana has made changes to its court, putting the phrase "Boom Baby!" on the sidelines in homage to both Leonard and Miller. Leonard would say that every time the Pacers hit a 3 when he was on the radio doing Pacers games — which, thanks to Miller, happened pretty frequently.'
