Kinda hope he sticks & has a good year on a contender. After all he’s been through in the last couple of years, would like to see a good year.
IF, he can give them 20 min a night at the level he played 2 years ago? He would make a good fit (style & skillset) for the Knicks. At least he shouldn’t be a ‘square peg in a round hole’?
Just wonder if still has that in him?
Yeah. As a slow it down, ground and pound type offense, they’re definitely a fit for him.
Yeah,… he has always been a ‘change of speed’ guard. His athleticism isn’t what it used to be,… but if still has the ‘fast-slow, slow-fast’ body control? Then he should have a real chance. It’s the same ability that makes Brunson’s game work. Same with guys like FVV & Tyrese.
(Tyrese just does it at a speed WAY faster than the others.

)
Just wonder if Malcolm still has enough of that change of gears left? If he still has the speed to get up & down, even at the Knicks pace? Still has enough 1-2 step athleticism to defend against bench guards?
IF all that is a mostly yes,. Could see him as a comeback player of the year candidate? If not, if he can’t fit and contribute with the Knicks? then it’s probably time to retire & run his charity full time?…
