The one positive with Herro being out is that I'm positive that Jovic is starting next to Bam. They don't have the offense otherwise.

I wouldn’t be surprised but I doubt it. Ware starting was a Bam request.

Powell covers us there and hopefully we lean on Bam there more. Powell trade gets better by the day, let’s hope he doesn’t pull a Terry

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
I am looking forward to see how the team will respond without Herro.
I think they will be better on defense but I want to see how the team will respond on offense.
There is a possibility that his absense will be important for scoring but there is also a possibility that they will work better as a unit and the other players step up.
It will be an interesting period until Herro returns

It's never a good thing to be missing one of your best players, but it will be interesting to see more reps for the likes of Larsson, Jaquez and Jovic. They're going to have the ball in their hands more, which hopefully helps accelerate development.
Really interested to see if Jaime can recapture some of that rookie year magic. He was a disappointment last year, but I also don't think we did the guy many favours in how he was utilised. He showed flashes still, lets hope he can find his game again.

List is pretty lazy, but at the same time I think people really underestimate simple math. If you take the two best players from every team in the NBA, that's already 60 players. So being ranked around that zone pretty much is an acknowledgement that on average that said player can be a top2 guy on any given team. I wouldn't really take it as some big disrespect.
At the end of the day, it's just some random journalist sharing his list that he put together quickly and without much thought.

Yup. Love this signing. He's not a world beater but he's definitely going to help.
I like our depth.

Highsmith and a 2nd for Dru and Precious while going back in the tax seems to be the finalized Highsmith deal.
Wonder if we’ll cut Terry now to avoid the tax

Definitely something is up with Rozier. The Heat got till the end of the season to get under the tax3ammy3uck3ts wrote:Highsmith and a 2nd for Dru and Precious while going back in the tax seems to be the finalized Highsmith deal.

Interesting, because this means they signed him to a "proove it in the training camp" deal. I think they could squeeze him in under the tax cap if they need to, but haven't commited, yet.

If the Heat potentially saw themselves in this position, then the Highsmith trade looks really dumb. If waiving Terry was always a real option to get out of the tax then they could've held onto Haywood and not given up on asset to trade him and duck the tax + sign a big (Dru was always going to be there waiting for us). This FO voting structure mixed in with Nick randomly making executive decisions feels so scattered.

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
Why do we still think we don't need a PG, especially with Tyler gone for the first at least month of the season
I can't understand giving a roster spot to Precious instead of looking for a ball handler.
Even if we want to play through Jovic (which is my hope/guess) as a point forward, we still need an actual ball handler. Are we going to have Powell bringing it up?? Or maybe this solidifies that Davion is going to start.
