Love that we're taking a flyer on Bates. Right around the same age as McCain. Really hope he proves himself worthy of a roster spot.

Grimes for Eason makes a ton of sense for both sides, especially with FVV tearing his ACL.

Edit: per Fanspo, if we sign Grimes to a contract starting at $14.8 mil or less, we could do him + Drummond for Eason + Capella.

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Edwards/Gordon
George/Oubre
Eason/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Capella/Broome

Kind of how I expected it to go down:

Sixers let Grimes go through the whole league to find an offer, doesn't find the number he wants, and Sixers give him the best offer which is still low.

He can play lead guard in spurts. Agree that he’s not a traditional PG though. Don’t think it’s needed there with Sengun though.

No, I think you need some legit ball handlers if you want to contend out West. OKC is gonna run you ragged in the playoffs with Dort/Caruso/Wallace
