There should be lots of lineup experimentation but I never underestimate the power of Doc's idiocy and his inclination to cling to poorly optimized personnel combinations for too long. Giannis/Turner/Bobby/Trent/Green/KPJ/Kuzma/Prince/Anthony/Rollins is the pretty obvious and balanced 10-man regular season rotation (Two Centers, three forwards, five guards). Sprinkle in Jericho for specific matchup purposes.

Guys i know the majority want either rollins or porter jr running the backcourt come opeaning night. But does anyone have a feeling that when the smoke clears from TC it will be cole anthony as the starting PG.
Would it be that bad compared to rollins n porter giannis talked very highly of anthony earlier

I think most national media guys are just as much/more of a "doofus" than the bettors. They just want clicks/viewers and come up with their opinions/projections accordingly.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think GA brought up Cole because he's new to the team, along with Miles. I don't think anyone expects him to outperform KPJ... Trading Dame for a big is a big statement about us banking on KPJ as the real deal steal. Cole is hopefully another.

I mean would anyone be surprised if he ended up our starting PG.Ge has the most experience is good on D had some good years in orlando.think i read a stat somewhere where he averaged 18/8/8 per 36.KPJr like the young man think he has a ton of upside just saying i personally wouldnt be surprised to see CA as our starter on oct 30th

I view Rollins as a combo off guard / point guard. Very George Hill esque. He can bring the ball up in a pinch but I don't think thats his strength.

I don't think Anthony agreed to come here to be the third point guard so I expect KPJ to start and them to use Anthony as the reserve point guard. I expect Rollins to get most of his minutes as the back up 2 guard; especially if we are correct that Trent gets a lot of run at the 3.

I think Cole's a good breakout candidate. Nice to have some perimeter players with real burst.

I actually think a lot of the pieces fit with this team (the talent being good enough is another question), and the East is pretty open. My biggest concerns involve Kuzma and Prince being played too much and out of position. With smart lineups and good health, I could see us in the 3 seed conversation.

I expect a lot of 3 guard lineups with zone/hybrid defenses mixed in. I don't think it particularly matters which guy is defending the 3. You keep him in front and make him shoot over you. On the other end, you move the ball side to side and hit the creases. You're going to win more often than lose absorbing the loss of "not as good at rebounding" to bring about "defense can not keep us in front of them".

How would starting Anthony over KPJ affect our ability to go with a small ball SF?

KPJ could also start alongside Cole in theory.

No I just don’t see him beating KPJ out or even Rollins who played with a bum shoulder for a lot of the year.

Rollins weakness is playmaking, he does everything else better than Cole. We will probably see both guys coming off the bench

I’d be interested to see what posters here might view as sample rotations for 1-3

PG: KPJ (26), Anthony (22)
SG: Trent (28), Rollins (20)
SF: Prince (24), Dairy (24)

That assumes no Kuz, Harris, or (AJax/Coffey/Livingston)

Pretty crowded, primarily with young guys on short deals who’ll want time.

Unfortunately I think Kuz & Prince will get minutes at the 3

PG: KPJ(25), Anthony(20), Rollins(3)
SG: Trent(25), Rollins(17), Green(6)
SF: Green(19), Prince(15), Kuzma(14)

Harris subs in for any injuries
Kuzma also gets minutes at the 4

We all know Doc is rolling out KPJ, Prince, Kuz, Giannis & MT opening night.
