With a week to go:

American League - Blue Jays lead the Yankees by 2 (and have the tiebreaker) with 6 games to go. Jays have Boston (fighting for a spot) and the Rays. Yankees have White Sox and Orioles. Winner of the division will get first round bye and home field in the AL. Huge difference.

Tigers lead the Guardians by 1 game. Guardians lead 6-3. They play each other 3 games in Cleveland starting tomorrow night. Huge.

Mariners lead the Astros by 3 and have the tiebreaker. Loser of the division will be battling Boston for the final WC spot. And battling Detroit for the second bye.

National League - Dodgers lead the Padres by 3 and have the tiebreaker. Cubs and Padres are comfortable the first and second wild card team. The last wild card is a tie between Red and Mets with the DBacks just one game behind. It's going to be a wild final week. Reds are in Milwaukee the final weekend.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Believe if Detroit blows the division it may be the worst collapse ever. And if the blow it, its pretty realistic that they may miss the playoffs altogether.

If the Mets miss, that will be insane coming off NLCS and all the money they spent.

Yes, IF it is a first step and not the only step. Because this is really dumb and will make no difference. If it leads to having 100% robo umps in a year or two, good. If not, it's just another dumb thing MLB does.

I think this is actually pretty impactful tbh. Being able to keep them if you're successful is big. Getting one going into extras is definitely big.

If you didn't see this in MiLB over the last couple years you'll be surprised how quickly it all happens.

I've seen it but I still think it's dumb. But if it's a start to full robo umps great. Because that's what's needed.

Challenges are better than nothing even if the automatic strike zone should in theory be the end goal. I can think of 2-3 Brewer games in just the last month that could've been completely flipped had they had the ability to challenge an obvious strike/ball. It'd be an absolute game-changer for the playoffs.

Skenes pissing on the Reds playoff chances. Hopefully the Mets lose and the DBacks win. Yankees and Blue Jays could be tied after tonight. Blue Jays have the tiebreaker.

It's going to be a fun final 4 days.

Reds lose, Mets going to lose. If AZ wins they'll be tied with the Mets. They split their season series.

Exact opposite of last season. Their collapse is insane. Think I saw 9.5 game lead just 2 weeks ago and think they’ll be eliminated from the division title if Cleveland beats them tomorrow. They may miss the playoffs altogether if Houston can muster some wins.

Was hoping the Marlins would get in. They have (had) a legit shot so long as Arizona wasn't winning.

Wild to see a catcher hit 60, but no one seriously thinks he deserves MVP over Ohtani, right?

I watch little to no regular season non Brewers baseball. This year I believe it was none. I don't like Apple no longer carrying games, I liked their production on Brewers game.

Yeah I meant Aaron Judge. No way he gets it over Judge, nor should he.

I don't really have a strong opinion one way or another, but we seem to use advanced numbers much more these days vs. the olden days of, "he won the triple crown so he gets the MVP."

Well, Raleigh's WAR is 9. Judge is 9.8. That basically paints the picture that Judge is putting up video game numbers and merely exists on defense, though part of that was his injury which held him out of playing defense for a while. Raleigh is putting up extremely good numbers at a premium position and playing above average at the premium position.

All I'm saying there is Raleigh could win it due to Judge fatigue + that quantification of what he means to the team.
