There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I picked Barnes, hoping his pairing with BI allows him to take things to another level.
Another guy I was thinking could take that step is IQ.
If either of these guys do, we are in a good place.

It has to be IQ. He's the release valve that will destroy opposing zone coverage.
If it isn't him we're in trouble.

Hopefully this. Otherwise that contract we gave him is not looking too good.

I want to see Walter take the jump like most people here but I don't think its gonna happen this year. I think they are going to prioritize Gradey and Walter will end up taking more of a backseat to him.
I hope its Scottie for the sake of the team. A lot of people are down on him from last year but its very likely that just by staying healthy we should see a spike in his game. His best play has come with someone taking the scoring load off his shoulders and we have that again with BI
I think its gonna be IQ, he just has the easiest path to do it. All he really needs is to play. He mentioned that his priority this off-season is work on his POA defense and as long as he's doing that well hell take away a lot of the mins from other guys. With what he's being paid the team has every incentive to get as much out of him as possible and I would expect them to push that envelope

When was IQ ever a proven lead guard in the league? Was it never? Was it just because he shot above the break 3’s we thought he’d be our starting pg? He’s probably a sixth man or a decent offensive sg if paired with a guy like Shead. Problem is ourselves and having to much invested in poor decisions to be able to have people in their ideal spots.
This team has expectations and knows they achieve them - almost everything has to break right and we need to get all value we can out of roster- meanwhile I think we all know the best Starting line up is probably with Ochai - not RJ. But we’ll also know that based “?” Not hurting feelings, that we’re gonna start RJ anyway despite knowing that puts the team in a worse position.
We can’t extend Ochai, even though we can likely get more of what we need at decent value. Problem is they still have to figure out how to get time for Gradey- Walter too. And there’s more organizational reputations at stake with them panning out or not.
