Skipping to the Giddey comments. I don't know how to post a YT link at a specific timestamp - forum software keeps deleting the timestamp. Sorry.

Except it's non-guaranteed. He'll compete with Shamet and Mathews, also on non-guaranteed deals, for a spot.

Question for you - having signed a deal, even if non-guaranteed, I assume that precludes Brogdon from talking to anybody else at this point about a guaranteed deal?

(I’m thinking about a scenario where the Warriors and Kuminga end up coming to resolution, even if it’s just him taking the QO, but them finally “being free” to close on deals with all of the folks such as Horford, Melton, etc…… Brogdon would have to be let go by the Knicks before they could actually talk to him, right? Or similarly, I think Coffey is just on a camp deal with Milwaukee - could he break that if the Warriors offered him a guaranteed deal?)
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

Yeah, once he's signed, guaranteed or not, camp deal or whatever, he has to be waived before anyone else can talk to him. He's under contract.

Some players may need to wait for the season to start, as roster spots become available through trades or injuries. The following is a list of players to keep an eye on, though they may choose overseas options (or the G League) if the NBA call doesn't come quickly enough:

Cody Martin
Pat Spencer
Delano Banton
Torrey Craig
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
Cam Payne
Cory Joseph
Chuma Okeke

Houston Rockets' Fred VanVleet has suffered a torn ACL, sources tell ESPN. A devastating, potentially season-ending loss for the Rockets with their starting point guard and leader.

The Rockets are less than $1.3M from a 1st apron hard cap. Not a lot of room to maneuver, even with the expected DPE of $12.5M for this season.

FVV was big for them in the series vs. the Warriors, was red hot after the first game, otherwise the Warriors would have won without going to 7 games.

And he was injured later in the regular season, which hurt their offense, even though he shot very poorly in the regular season.

They're going to need a starter level PG or just more usage for KD during the regular season.

If the Rockets are close to contending without FVV next season they should trade with Portland for Jrue at the deadline.

Walker Kessler going into RFA will be interesting

Doubt it, unless you found this restricted free agency class interesting.

He's actually garnered interest. The knicks were willing to give up 2 1sts (though they weren't good 1sts). But really just adds more FAs for what should be a really bad free agency market. Lowering JK's threat of playing on the qo. Cam, Grimes and Kessler will be added to the free agency class.

Maybe there's been a breakthrough in Achilles heel tear surgeries in the last 20 years. Or maybe in the last 10 years, remember when Kobe tore his and he wasn't the same, though he was much older.

KD also came back okay though he was like 30 or 31.

Klay clearly hasn't got the same agility back, though he's also an older guy when he tore his Achilles.

Or maybe Tatum will be rushing back, risking injury.

In any event, Celtics dumped salary so they may not be that team any more even if he's 100% at some point in this upcoming season.

The Dubs have 7 first round picks and swaps to offer in trade. And, Butler's salary just happens to exactly match up with Giannis' salary. :D

Kahwi Leonard said, "none us did no wrongdoing." That's a double negative, so apparently all of them did some wrongdoing.
