Kirk needs to Start tomorrow. Heineman's framing and defense has been sub par, and with the division on the line Kirk needs to be the guy.

I have a feeling they don't want to pitch Gausman more than 2-3 innings tomorrow, even if they win today, and ride the bullpen for the rest of the game. Which is my they are trying to sneak out innings of Bruihl and Nance and probably Schultz today.

If you win today, they should just pitch Gausman like a normal start. But who knows what the analytics guys are thinkign.

My preferred strategy (if we get bye) is to tell him not to touch a bat, nor think much about anything for 5 days and hope it creates a positive tweak.
