Jays are up 7-1 in the ninth. We hand the ball to Hoffman who proceeds to give up 6 runs while we refuse to warm anyone else up.

All this means is that they can optimize the pinch hitting opportunities.

I think Diaz wants to maintain his .300 average and is also injured while Gausman has reverse splits so don’t thank him too hard yet

Just want to give a big shoutout to everyone on the boards. We had great activity on these boards this season, lots of debates and convos. Really loved the vibes this season. Let's keep it going!
P.S. Really missing Schad. Hopefully wherever he is, he's enjoying this season.

They were all replaced by 3 left handed batters, so it’s not reverse split based.
Diaz - Seymour
Simpson - Palacios
Lowe - Gray
I’m sure he will still push hard throughout and some relievers will be get pushed in back to back, but this indicates some may be held back as well.
It’s not a white flag by any means, but it certainly helps is a bit.

If schad was here he’d be complaining about the amount and types of posts. This guy single handedly made me not want to post on this board a few seasons ago when it was still dead. The vlad complaining, the Hoffman complaining, the general complaining here would’ve been too much and he’d probably think he was above it. He Called me out for reactionary in game posts when that’s essentially the entire scope of these game/series threads now. But as fans we can all agree that this is the norm when watching these games because it’s an outlet for our emotions.
Hopefully he’s enjoying the season, but he definitely wouldn’t have condoned for this volume of posting and the style. Feels good to be able to just come watch the games, react and relate to the other posters, and not have someone telling me to STFU for doing the same thing everyone else does.

Re: Game 162 - Rays @ Jays, 3:07PM, Page 43
Had a brutal sickness that I had been dealing with for about a week and I was so out of it that I couldn't even muster the energy to watch any games. That feeling I got when I saw that the Jays had lost 5 of 7 games heading into this final series was probably even worse than the flu though.
Seems like things have been coming around the past few days, so all we have to do is win one more game then get that bye through the WC series and a much-needed break. Let's get it!

there’s still caminero.
And Aranda. Their two best hitters
But 4-9 it’s a weak lineup. Of course it’s baseball and only one day so any player could get 3 hits and a homer in on any given day.

Wha Random shots fired at Schad! I remember him being a solid poster.

Baltimore appears to have their possible lineup going. Likely won’t matter, and even though expected it’s good to see.

No needless IKF start so I can live with that
Lukes has won us too many games of late so of course he is sitting. He has also been a better defender than Barger and has hit LHP better so, yes this fits with how we make our lineups in must-win games... But I guess they are really picking Straw and Santander over him

I’m sure he was a knowledgeable poster, I’m only talking about my experience from years ago when this board wasn’t that busy and I was just getting back into the jays when the young core started blowing up.
