Hello mr. Poles, can you please draft J'Mari Taylor from Virginia if no Love. Seriously that guy is a beast basically the anti Swift, rams people like traffic cones.

He should be squashing UDFA types. And TBH, the Bears were trying to hand him the LT job, but he would not take it. So it wasn’t just a media and fan narrative.
We are always so quick to write off players, often based on very limited knowledge of the situation. I think it's safe to say that someone like Kiran is not living up to expectations, but far too early to say that about Trapillo. Instant gratification is not always the best path to follow with young players.

I think it's a bit early to write off Kiran. He's 23 yrs old, been a Bear for less than 18 months and injured most of the time. Granted if he can't stay healthy, any potential he may have is immaterial.

I hope you're right but even before he got hurt this last time he was pretty low on the depth chart, behind Trapillo and Benedet.

For Kiran, he is struggling to stay in the mix at any position. He is currently playing backup guard. That’s not a write off, thats just a major red flag indicator for him becoming an excellent OT. He didn’t have a fair shot necessarily last season. But he’s burning through benefit of the doubt at this point with a new coaching staff. Kiran struggles to win the LT competition was one thing. But when they moved him to guard, that was a big red flag if a good (and new) coaching staff doesn’t see him playing the position he was drafted for.

For Trapilo, write off of a career as a bust, that’s not the framing of the question. That is not what was said. The ultimate upside is now in question. Although at this point his upside is not limited, of course. Time will tell. We only note red flags here. For his rookie year anyway, it appears his LT upside is severely degraded, as he had a rapid position switch after the LT experiment, and a resultant wasted camp as far as learning to play RT where he is now.

:dontknow:

From a math perspective, maybe if you ignored the actual players.

From a talent level on the board perspective? Jalen Carter was viewed as a consensus absolutely elite talent and Darnell Wright was not, and 2 years and change into seeing what will actually happen, those consensus views have both proven correct. Jalen Carter is an absolutely elite talent and Darnell Wright is not.

In that situation, I would not have made that trade at the time and in hindsight, it played out exactly as you would have expected it to, with a huge gap between those players. This is especially damaging when you get the most value out of a guy on their rookie deal when they are potentially massively underpaid.

MIN lost again, now 2-2. We can tie them with a win today.

Maybe we'll see a little bit of Zacheus today- he's been quiet so far in the regular season after having a great pre season.

Hard to blame Williams on that pick. But he did have a wide open guy in the other direction. Crosby is off to an insane start

Raiders got a grip. Unless something drastic happens, Bears can only win if the Raiders keep beating themselves. They look outclassed again.

The O-line might want to start blocking somebody.
