He had decent numbers on 3’s in the GLEAGUE. .375 overall in two seasons. (106/282)

Yeah if his shooting really did improve, he's a fun player to add imo. He has a lot going for him.

Trey lyles signed with real Madrid.

On his pod, Teague suggested horford might just retire.

If so, the Warriors can just sign a bunch of vet minimums immediately and not worry about a 2nd apron hard cap. I don't blame Horford if he did retire. He doesn't need this nonsense, and he might be learning more about management during this offseason than he cared to.

With Shamet and Brogdon gone, I really think we need to land Monte Morris or maybe Devin Carter in a S&T.

I suppose Melton/Seth together in the 2nd unit could provide enough playmaking if we signed both… but they are both injury prone and then that pushes Buddy and Moody (and also maybe JK/GP2) up a position so players start getting squeezed.

And after Podz struggled as backup PG and thrived next to Steph, I also can’t imagine Kerr starts another season with Melton starting and Podz off the bench.

Podz played great with Jimmy as the no 1 option for the bench units.

The available backup pgs are meh. I'd trade for Carter for our last 2nd that we have left.

If we sign jk to the 1+1 I think we sign cody martin as the 4th guy. We'll need another forward that we can play once we trade JK.

Having Jimmy and Dray definitely helps get by with less “real” point guards.

Since there's no general offseason thread, tossing it in here.

Horford signing just became official. A resolution is coming one way or another.

It seems they won't make it official until Kunmiga is resolved.

So, unofficially official?? Sounds like something that would come from this offseason. What a nightmare.

This is really no different then a free agent committing to a new team July 1st and having to wait until they can legally sign.

Yeah, I don't understand this. We've known for months that Horford was "on hold" pending the Kuminga negotiations (otherwise he'd either be signed to another team or retires a long time ago), what kind of announcement is this?

I guess since training camp starts and teams are announcing their rosters the Warriors have to put out something to explain why we will only have like 16 roster spots or so.

Apparently we signed will Richard to a 4 year deal. 2 years guaranteed.

I’m surprised they gave him 2 years guaranteed. He wasn’t terribly impressive in the summer league but I guess he’s cheap labor.

The rookie minimum is $1M less than the vet minimum against the aprons and the luxury tax. Having him signed to the 14th roster spot allows the Warriors to meet the required roster size for opening day without Kuminga on the roster (if it comes to that).

I get that, but they’ve had 9 under contract already…..

“Commitments” from Horford, Melton, GP2 today brings it to 12.

Allegedly Kuminga, of course, so we’re up to 13, not counting Richard.

So if Richard is actually 14th, does that mean they’re not going to sign Seth Curry or somebody else?

Or maybe they’re cutting TJD, who I think has little or no guarantee? That would surprise me.

But I don’t see how we say that Richard is #14, when supposedly we’re about to get #15 in Seth.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

I am counting Seth (or someone else), but not counting Kuminga. Hell, he could hold out, and the Warriors need to get to 14 players to start the season. Seth/someone plus Richard gets them to 14. We're arguing semantics. I am not saying Richard will occupy the 14th roster spot. I am saying he guarantees the team will have 14 players signed to the main roster on opening night.
