Just absolutely destroyed the WNBA Commissioner. Just lit her up. What a presser.

Yeah have to imagine the commish there's days are numbered. Shes not equipped for the gig. That play wasn't a foul though. Lynx were just tilted from playing bad.

Absolutely incredible. Collier is the commish's - and possibly the WNBA's, quite frankly - worst nightmare. Really interested to see how well Unrivaled evolves. It's got a ways to go of course, but the finances seem to be in great order.

This Weather sucks. Feels like the last few years fall has basically not existed in Milwaukee.

As someone who prefers classic fall/winter weather over spring/summer, I completely agree.

I'd like it cooler but I'll take hot over cold.

It's been absolutely fantastic in the Southern Tier of NY for about 6 weeks, & the end of summer was great as well.

I think I'm generally the opposite (although the older I get, the less I like the cold), but I suspect there's a little bit of "the grass is always greener" there tinged with the naivety of a guy from Sydney not really knowing what sustained cold is (and probably likewise in reverse for you guys).

I think our seasons have just shifted by a month or two. It doesn't get warm until May/June now and it stays warm into October.

Was it two years ago that we just straight up didn’t have a winter? Like it snowed once or twice, it was gone within a day, and that was it.

Bad for the planet and basically the entire winter economy in Wisconsin, but that was nice.

Yeah, I do believe that year on Christmas/New Years the most snow in the state was Madison with a half an inch or so.

If snow and bitter temps hold off until after Xmas I'm fine with it. I'll go on a warm weather vacation or two in January/February and I'm good. When we get dumped on in November it sucks.

Yes 23-24 winter was basically the weakest since we started recording weather data. It gave us a scary glimpse of future el nino winters with a warmed planet.

We've had about 4 weeks total snow pack the past 3 winters combined in Oshkosh. I would expect 10-20 years from now we won't really ever have a snowpack again in this area, with only areas that get lake effect having any sort of consistent snow. Ice fishing as we know it (driving out on the middle of the lake by mid to late Jan) will also be over. There will be about a month total where it will be safe to walk out on the bays.

Wisconsin seasons are now basically: 1 month of fall (mid to late October to mid to late November), 3 months of winter with only one truly cold month (usually January), 2 months of Spring (march-april), and then 6 months of Summer (where 80's are on the table). I actually think we'll start to see 70's and 80's creep into early December and late February on occasion. Late Feb 2024 had temps reach near 80 in the fox valley so it's already started to happen.

5 years ago I use to never think about the weather/climate. But now that I have kids I think about it all the time. It is so much different than it was even 20 years ago. The lack of precipitation in our warming environment is pretty concerning.

Tough last four days for me as yesterday afternoon we had to make the painful decision to put our dog to sleep. He was diagnosed with cancer in May and we were told it was basically too dangerous to operate, so I thought I'd be prepared when the time came but I very much wasn't.
