This place is a ghost town. I’ve never seen it like this in 20 years of browsing and posting. Are forums dying? Are those of us remaining old timers stuck in the past, with a lack of interest due to a rebuilding season while the younger generation are on Reddit or social media?

We’ve had some pretty good weather in the early part of fall. You’ll see more people once the season starts.

Also is anyone on Twitter a real human anymore? They all come off as bots

I’m probably among the younger folks on here. I can promise you no one from my generation are going to join forums, it’s definitely a dying relic.

They’re all going to Reddit/Discord and various other social media apps. As people age out of the fandom, the younger generation won’t replenish the ones that disappear.

The numbers have been slowly declining on here for like 10 years. I would post on Reddit but the basketball knowledge is terrible over there. It’s either casuals or new fans.

overall this forum is filled with posters that can't communicate in any other way than to cry and complain. so im guessing a bunch of folks just got tired of it.

2006 class reporting in. I'm waiting for the season to start to see how all the pieces flow together.Until they start playing some games it's all political correct answers given in these media questions. There just hasn't been anything exciting for Raptor media day so far for me and based on last years disappointing performance i want to see how the offseason these guys been talking about translate on the court. It's just too much yapping right now with no substance.

Very much this, my kids actually laughed when I explained forums and how I sometimes post on a Raptors one.

Not sure what RealGMs business model is but I'd have started looking at trying to migrate as much of the community to Discord or Reddit. I'm guess the immediate loss of ad revenue and the build phase of a new place would dissuade that (also not even sure how they're monetized), but at some point there won't be forums anymore.

Firing of Masai left a very sour taste in my mouth. Also I can’t be less enthused for the upcoming Rogers ownership era. I had some hope that Larry could wrestle the Raptors away but that’s gone at this point. So I’ve taken a step back from the NBA in general until the season starts.
