Matt Blake has done a really mediocre job this year. He's rebuilt some dudes, but he's let the bullpen fall apart (still better than the Mets "pitching lab" though)

Cora owns Boone just by simply having basic common sense. Keeping your ace in the game and getting it right to Chapman. No one was asking Fried to throw 120 pitches, just go batter to batter like a normal manager would.

The problem is that every time a Yankee player has a fluke season the FO retains said player until he is no longer serviceable. Cashman is most likely deciding how long Weaver's contract extension should be.

Yankee fans jumped on the Cashman bandwagon right after the trade deadline, and it wasn’t long before it backfired on them.
Yankee fans jumped on the Boone bandwagon during the final 6 weeks of the regular season and were completely let down by him yesterday.
The lesson to learn is not to get swept up in temporary highs without considering the risks of letdowns.

Jazz and Bird should have been playing yesterday imo. Jazz talks a lot of crap and it’s annoying but at least he has balls and wants to talk it.
