I think there is a bigger deal with HOU to be made than just Coby. They need shooting. Huerter could be a great fit too.

Dalen on CHGO today said he’s out on 12pbs of muscle. First summer he’s take the weight room seriously… these guys are so dumb. Have all the help needed and just don’t get it. DT did say Buz looks good and Noa flashed in MIA for week fo scrimmages. Says he has no fear.
Man, just like that I’m back on on Bullieving in our guys. DT in theory could always be a versatile, defensive hound off the bench who contributes to winning. And if Pat can stay healthy, he can contribute too.
I feel like the chemistry with this team is super strong. No diva personalities. They like each other and can play an uptempo style where everyone contributes. Its such an important & underrated part of basketball. I don’t think it was a dull statement by AK to want 8-10 quality players (Indy) vs 2-3 stars and a bunch of trash (LA Lakers). That’s the way the league is headed.
We’re young, but should be well coached. They should have the youthful energy to play hard every night. This team could legitimately surprise if Matas takes a step. Not a championship, but 44-48 wins and 5-6 seed perhaps. Not counting on him this year, but Noa is the type of home run swing we desperately need for the future, and hes flashed major potential already.
The tides might be starting to turn….

Couldn’t the Bulls move White/Phillips for Sheppard/Eason?

Yeah I don’t want Jabari. Don’t think he’s a C and he’d be in the way of Noa and Buz.
Eason was my guy in the draft. So bummed he went one spot ahead of us. However, he’s hurt a lot and needs to be paid. No way AK would trade proven Coby for unproven Reed. Would need another guy like Eason. Tari is def a young vet that has proven something.
Trade above pushes Pat and or Noa out unless Noa can play some 5.

Unproven but under contract. Plus AK seems to like unproven lottery talent.
Houston has such a gaping hole at guard they may just be desperate enough to throw in a pick.

Or take Pat due to us having to pay Eason.
AK isn’t fond of 1sts.

Re: Around The NBA : 2024-25 Offseason
The 2025-26 season will be the first in LeBron's 23-year career in which he will be playing on an expiring contract. Considering LeBron wrote the modern-day playbook on how to create and utilize leverage in negotiations, it's fair to assume this was not his plan.
"He obviously wanted an extension, and it's also clear that the Lakers wouldn't give it to him," said one NBA source familiar with LeBron and the Lakers. "That's what he was reacting to."
Most around the league assume LeBron wanted to sign a "one-plus-one" extension—meaning one guaranteed year plus a player option—but that the Lakers refused to offer him such a deal.
"It didn't even seem like there were negotiations," said one NBA executive. And, as one prominent NBA agent added: "By not offering him an extension, the Lakers put LeBron in a bind."

I know he's past his prime, but to me it's crazy any team wouldn't extend Lebron. #2 or #3 GOAT.

I don't think it's crazy for the Lakers to value championship aspirations as soon as possible with their 20s megastar who fell into their lap, over the huge profitability of keeping a legendary 40s icon who commands a third of your salary cap. If you believe the Lakers have any chance at a ring next season with that roster, more power to you my man. LeBron is the second most important player in the history of the league, and brings in colossal merch sales and Tik Tok views and what not - so I fully understand the logic of the Lakers keeping him. But their best route to banners is bringing another young star or two into LA on team-friendly deals; it's never going to happen with the Chosen One doing his thing there.

Man the Sixers are already snake bit and the season hadnt even started yet.
PG and Mccain will most likely miss the start of the season.

It's going to end up being a one year deal.
Why so serious?

Are the Warriors doing this so they can trade him?

Yeah, there was specific reporting yesterday that both sides understand they'll at least explore trades once he becomes trade-eligible in January.

We hear this every year about some player, but wow Zion did actually change himself physically.

That's certainly a possibility but I doubt they sign this deal hoping for something to happen. I'd be inclined to think that they have a trade in place that maybe has to wait until a specific date when they can move Kuminga or the other team can trade a player. Any of the 1,000 proposed Kuminga trades could have been done by now so there almost has to be some wrinkle that makes something work down the road.

Re: Around The NBA : 2025-26
NBA is now going to make it foul to hit the shooter's hand even well after the shot is released.
I guess there was too much defense being played for the League, let's tone it down.

He is annoying making demands and is not helping you win at a rate to tolerate you.
He is not Kobe. Kobe won 5 championship and was a lifetime Laker.
LeBron has made himself a mercenary. This is what happens. Loyalty is a two way street.
