That's a nice deal for the Heat and Jovic.

Overpaid, though this time last year, I was certain he would get at least 20m and cringed at the thought of Mia paying that
Not a fan of Jovic and I don’t think he’ll be a pillar on this team, but I’m happy to be proven wrong

Guess we were impressed enough with his Euroball play to commit to him long term. Obviously keeping your young talent long term is a good thing. We’ll see how this ages

Young player with upside taking up roughly 10% of the projected cap isnt an issue. Hopefully he has a big year

15 sounds big because it is but the cap is so crazy it's not like the Duncan contract years ago IMO. I hope he's improved but can he cover 3s?

I'm good with this. I like Niko. Young player with upside so he's worth the risk imo

This is a great deal for both Niko and the Heat. Rewards him for his patient development and the work he has clearly put in on his body and game, and could potentially turn into a value contract for Miami if he breaks out.
Miami wouldn't give him this deal if they didn't see him as an important cog this year and beyond. Let's go Niko!

now that his contract is locked in i think we finally see him get to work and be unleashed. i want to see him out there running the offense with Bam and Ware!!

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
Jovic, Powell, Wiggins, Bam, Ware
Mitchell, Smith, Larson, JJJ, Precious
Rozier, Kasparas, KJ, Goldin
Herro (injured)
Experiment with Niko running the point, 3 easy to play with vets who can cut, hit the 3, screen well and add a huge lob threat in Ware.
Size for rebounding, VERY good spacing, great defensive line up til Herro comes back. If Niko does that well, you move Powell as thee 6th man for continued scoring punch. We have some VERY solid players and ALOT of tradable contracts within those players.
If Giannis becomes available.
Herro (Wisconsin home grown talent) , Ware, JJJ, Rozier (expiring) and our 2 1sts
Forr Giannnis and Trent Jr
Sounds like a fair offer.

It will be interesting to see who wins the starting spot in Ware vs Jovic. Both were drafted to be developed next to Bam. In all the Heat have 4 draft picks to be paired with Bam in Achiuwa and Johnson. Hopefully they all find chemistry

It's literally a mid level exception deal. What more can you expect from the MLE other than a young 6'9" guy with versatility?

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
Personally, I really enjoy the current direction of young talent, mixed with good quality vets. Whether they win or not, it will be interesting to observe their individual and collective growth.
I’m happy for Niko. It’s taken some time, and he’s not there yet, but I believe the young man is capable.
Bam, Herro, Powell, Wiggins, and Davion Mitchell are really good vets. They will provide a versatile foundation for the youngins to grow, while also not getting in the way if one or more of Kasparas, Ware, or Niko is able to take the next step.

Re: 2025 Offseason Thread Vol.6
I’d actually be really happy to start the season with
Powell
Wiggins
Jovic
Adebayo
Ware
And run with Point Niko. Gives him big on ball responsibilities to create and playmake.
Second unit of
Mitchell
Larsson
Jaquez
Fontecchio
Achiuwa
Could be fun too
