I can't stay up late enough to watch games on the west coast. Now I have to stop work at noon to watch Euro games? And what about teams that travel 6 or 7 time zones? How will they cope? This is so freaking nuts, I think Silver is losing it.

The magic are gonna be a problem

They have so many good defensive pieces. Who do they go to in the playoffs though?

But yeah, they'll be a problem.

Paulo or Wagner can get buckets. also with the addition of alligator arms creating space it is going to make life easier for em.

Not everything is "oh you're just older", bro.

Sometimes things do get worse believe it or not.

The idea that every new idea is a great idea and that I can't argue about it without being an 'old head' is truly dumb.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Reducing the number of games anybody normal can see by spreading the games out over so many streaming services - most of which I'd never watch if it weren't for the Knicks. Throw in a little corruption. Diluting talent with expansion. If we play games with Europe, how TF are we going to know those players and teams well? It will be just abstract basketball, and they might just as well boost the AI in 2K and let us all watch that. The idea of getting to know players and identifying with a team has been, to me and I'm sure to other fans, a huge part of why this game is so great. As a kid, it killed me when my favorite player was traded or retired. Now they're becoming fungible to the league and I really don't like that.

I feel like the league is dying a slow death. There's no reason to really care about it anymore, the players don't care, why should fans?

I literally only watch the Knicks. Once the Knicks lost I don't think I watched a minute of the Finals.

The Knicks are all guys who do care and try as hard as they can to win, so they're not only a great team but a great story. I feel that some players degrade the league despite good play, and that's pretty bad. Don't feel bad about how you feel. There are only a few good stories left in the NBA.

Yeah I agree. The Knicks play hard and compete. It's easy to root for this squad having seen teams and players who don't give a goddamn about their jobs or the fans who pay their ridiculous salaries.

Like I don't think people understand how special this is and what it can be. When you have guys that just want to ball, have fun and give fans something to cheer for, it's not something that is happening everywhere else.

Outside of the Knicks the last true excitement i felt watching Men's hoops was the last Olympics when Steph, LeBron and KD put their greatness on display in front of the world in a highly competitive game where everyone left everything on the floor.

The NBA lacks that it factor it once had. Guys don't give a damn. The regular season is a slog. Teams get blown out in playoff games way more frequently it feels like.

Like the Clippers/Kawhi Leonard stuff disgusts me not just because they're cheating but the dude was being paid millions to do nothing, not even play basketball for the Clippers. It's gross. Guys putting off off season rehab procedures so that they can rehab during the season is a slap in the face to fans who pay ridiculous prices expecting to see them play. Load management.

The league isn't in a good spot to me personally to where it's not a priority for me to watch.

You just don’t like it because it would take you a bit longer to earn what he did for doing nothing. Aboit 300 years longer.

After leaving his agent, Ja Morant is now going to be represented by his uncle. According to Wiretap, his uncle left his job and formed a company when Ja was drafted. If he's as stable as smart as Ja has been...

None of the family members are certified NBA player agents. ILOC will manage Morant's off-court business opportunities and social calendar but will not negotiate player contracts, according to Helms in an interview with The Athletic.

Morant parted ways with Mike Miller's sports agency LIFT Sports Management last season. He has stated he will negotiate his next contract himself. Morant is currently eligible for an extension off his five-year, $197 million contract that expires in 2028.

Phil Morant left his position as a regional telecommunications executive in the Carolinas when his nephew was drafted second overall in 2019. He serves as chief managing director alongside Jamie Morant, with Helms handling day-to-day operations.

The arrangement draws comparisons to Kawhi Leonard's relationship with his uncle Dennis Robertson. However ...

Grimes will be a Knick for the MLE next year

He had requested 17M at the first place, but our beloved Sixers have lowballed him at below 9M per... so 12-15M would be a wonder for him

McBride
Grimes
Hart
Yabusele
Mitch

Plus Clarkson and Brogdon for another or two additional seasons with the vet min = Dinasty

The main thing is I think they would have kept Yabu if they knew Grimes was taking a QO. They purposely didn’t make any moves to keep him because they thought they were going to have pay Grimes money. Now it looks like they’ll end up with neither

+ the McCain, Embiid, and PG are all injured or injury prone going into this season.

Morey and Philly had a crap offseason.
