Once VJ posted a +1 in plus/minus and tied Maxey as the leading scorer with 14 points, they decided to sit him and put in the two biggest negatives of the game, Edwards and Walker.

Our shooting at the PF spot with Watford, Walker, and Oubre is going to be a major hurdle for the offense. They kill the flow, while we might get some advantages on the weaves, their lack of threat lets the defense recover and reset easily.

Feels wrong saying it, but George and Embiid are 2 of our best shooters. Instead, you have their minutes being soaked up by Barlow/Walker/Edwards and Bona/Drummond.

No disrespect intended but is there any good news involving Embiid, and PG. I was an fan of PG back in his Indy days.

Not taking a ton away from a preseason game in Abu Dhabi, but I do think we have the ability to make the playoffs in the East. I don't think we're going to do much more unless Embiid and PG are healthy at and throughout the playoffs.

I also think Josh Hart is a decent comparison for VJ Edgecombe. VJ needs to get bigger. I just don't ever feel comfortable in VJ becoming a >38% 3FG shooter over multiple season.

He's going to be nice with guys who hit shots (Grimes, McCain, hopefully PG). Plays within the offense, makes smart reads. Between him and Maxey, we should get other guys some easier looks with their slashing ability.

The team literally flew half way around the world. It is the first preseason game. They hardly had any training camp other than picture/media day. Let's not judge them just yet.
