Let's just say I'm skeptical that Doubs is gonna get any sort of massive payday. His 17-game averages through 4-seasons are 58 catches, 680 yards, and 7 TD's. He's not a dude you need to break the bank for. And speaking of Tee Higgins, thank god we dodged that bullet when so many here were clamoring for us to go after him in free agency. Even playing opposite Chase, he's invisible when he doesn't have a Top-5 QB throwing him the football.

People praising Lafleur's honest answer when asked about the closing sequence of the Dallas game are missing the point. He basically said he had no idea what was going on and that it was like watching a car crash in slow motion. Such an indictment of him as a coach and I'm tired of looking at him/hearing him.
Do it for Chuck

I understand...but if that's what we are facing what is your choice?

Totally agree.
I like Lafleur but we have to admit he hasn't grown in a couple of areas. Specifically time management and knowing when to be aggressive vs conservative.
Last game we were dominating the entire first half. They blocked extra point, returned it, then scored a TD. Ok, you get the ball with 40 seconds left in the half and are still up 13-9. So you run a few plays, oline is getting beat badly, you just barely pick up the first down with 21 seconds left, RT picks up another false start. It's 1st and 15 on your own 32 with 21 seconds left and you have the lead. Just be happy and go into half-time with the lead. Instead you try to force it and Love fumbles which leads to another Cowboy TD. He made this same mistake in the Arizona, Rams, and Houston game last year however we were lucky enough to overcome those mistakes.
Then at the end of the game he completely runs out of time. Instead of going for the TD and the win, he is worried about leaving too much time for Aubrey. If you don't have faith in your offense to score the winning TD in OT against the worst defense in the NFL then why do you have faith in them to force the ball down field at the end of the half like that? Reminds me of the TB playoff game where he kicked a FG when down 8 towards the end of the 4th quarter.
I am not saying fire him, I am saying if he continues to show the same deficits for the rest of this season we might want to consider other options.

I personally agree however you know damn well that had he done that 90% of this board wouldve been (and would still be) absolutely trashing him for not being aggressive enough and "leaving points on the board"

100% true
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Wish him well because Golden is the dude going forward anyways.

Agreed, people always want to go for it on 4th or be aggressive until it does not work. I was fine being semi-aggressive until it took 20 seconds and three plays to get a first down...still on our our 32, then a false start. At that point no, you take a knee or hand it off to Jacobs to see if he can break one. After the horrible INT Love threw last week to lose the Cleveland game you just don't put your team in that spot....be happy with the lead and regroup.
But you guys are right, most fans would have went crazy if they made that decision and it backfired.

I think everyone has that one friend they either watch games with or text during the game. Text I sent him right after Dallas scored their first TD was "Do you press for a score, run the ball, or kneel with 40 seconds left?"
He said run, I said kneel. After the first down and twenty seconds off the clock we both agreed kneel.

Packers working out Five DT candidates

Looking for depth, or does that mean Wyatt is out longer than hoped for?
