Talking about Spencer and Pat being leaders, yet they still have to cut someone from this bunch. Plum isn’t even present for media day, given an excused absence. WTH? They barely have a functional center position anyway, and the old vet they signed is already missing.

Glad Peterson is calling out Brandon as having great potential, and to be their leader. Lee says Ball put a lot of investment in his work building his strength. Mann says Miles is their veteran leader (whoa…that’s wild).

So on we go, camp begins, soon we have exhibitions. Hope is what we have for now, despite the gaps and health fears. When following this team, all you have is hope.

I haven't seen any more info and the highlighted stuff is the spin you would expect to read.

if it was 2015 it would be.

Rich Cho is calling out Cody Zeller as having great potential, and to be their leader. Clifford says Kemba put a lot of investment in his work building his strength. Gerald Henderson says Al Jefferson is their veteran leader.

You can do it for every generation. It's not false or disingenuous, it's just meaningless fluff.

Miles Bridges as our leader is genuinely disgusting and insulting and I refuse to get over it. There will be a dark curse upon this franchise until the day he leaves. It’s indefensible that we continue to employ him much less promote him and rehab his image.

Listened to the media day videos from Coach Lee, LaMelo, Brandon, Kon, etc. No specifics but most everyone has been together for the past month or more working out, doing pick up games, etc. Some general thoughts;

> Grant Williams is an important part of this team. He’s strong and vocal. A good influencer. Hope he can eventually get back into the rotation.
> Lots of chatter about Drew Peterson, and how some team(s) would love to have him. Smart move to get him on a two way.
> Tre Mann and Colin Sexton are important parts of this puzzle. Don’t see them being traded short of a major move for a center or similar.
> Depending on how the pre-season goes, I could see Spencer being dealt to Houston if the Rockets need extra help following FVV injury.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Miller is definitely 6'10 if you look at the media day photos.

I love Sexton’s fire and drive. The Young Bull indeed!

I wonder if they will do with this with all our centres to find best fit

Well, we may as well see what he can do sooner then later. He is the tallest and best shot blocker.

By necessity I can see Lee’s strategy for these centers based upon his comments and this example of use during training camp. He envisions using these guys situationally based somewhat on matchups. None of them are complete players, so he thinks he can mix and match based upon opponent, scheme, and perhaps on whose hot that night. If so that doesn’t build continuity but perhaps prepares everyone for the rotations.

Or perhaps one will stand out enough to get majority minutes nightly. I mean, what other choices does he have? Small ball with Grant when he’s able to return? That’s about it.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

ESPN has us 5th best in WAR (improvements vs losses) but still projects to be bad -

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/46440870/nba-teams-gained-lost-roster-value-offseason-trades-signings

I think they should have dropped Pat from the list and added Liam but it is what it is.

Opening Line Up guess -

LaMelo-Mann - Spencer - KJ
Sexton - Kon - Mann- Pat
Miller - Kon - Liam - Sion
Miles - Saluan - Petersen
Kalk - Moussa - Plumlee (or reversed depending on how good/bad RK looks in the preseason)

This might be the best Reel Access video they've done. Tre's injury was a lot more serious then we knew. He said he couldn't lay down or even pickup his kid. A back injury like that is a scary thing.

I watched it last night as well and was going to make a post today about his injury being more serious than they let on. His words he at times couldn't lay down, couldn't sit down, couldn't bend over to tie his shoes, or bend over to pick up his kid. Yeah that's a pretty bad pinched nerve.

The overall just a really good video.

Moose should be green across the board. I mean he's not that far off from being the best defender at every position. I know i'm a moose stan but i'm Mostly serious when I say that. If you put him in the game and told him he was going to be our point of attack defender against the other team's lead guard, I think he'd probably do a better job than anyone else, Or at least better than 95% Of the roster.
