Prior to this season there had four game three games since they changed the format, and we could double that tomorrow. This is awesome. Go Reds.

And the Reds can say goodbye to their season with how the 6th inning has gone. Dodgers bullpen pending.

The Dodgers are doing this against a pretty strong pitching staff, although I think the Reds made a mistake using Lodolo so early against the Brewers instead of potentially saving him for game 2.

LAD was showing signs of getting it together towards the end of the season, and now that they don't have to win any more series than anyone else, they might be the favorites. Will Smith is expected back, at least as a PH, for the NLDS.

ETA: Really a best-case scenario for LAD. May as well have been a bye for them. Ohtani will start game 1. Snell will have 5 days rest for game 2 and Yamamoto will have 6 days rest for game 3. Ohtani and Snell will each have 4 days rest for games 4 and 5, respectively.

Glad Cleveland is out. They're a pretty brutal watch.

Didn't even notice until now, but two rookies with less than 100 combined career innings starting a do-or-die Yanks/Red Sox playoff game seems kind of wild. Those two franchises sometimes pay their 4th or 5th starter more than the Brewers pay their best one.

My goodness, there have been a lot of teams that "stumbled" into the playoffs winning games against teams that were "hot" at the "right time" so far this postseason.

I saw enough Craig-tember or Murph-tember hot streaks in September that lead to nothing to know that it doesn't matter how you play, just get in.

Really hard not to root for our title-less brethren in Seattle, but Detroit would be the easiest WS opponent if they find a way to sneak in.

I know I'm getting WAY ahead of myself, but there's no harm in pointing out what would hypothetically be in Milwaukee's best interest.
