Wemby only played half a season. He's going to start the season with something to prove. That, and a full season of De'Aaron Fox. 55 wins for the Spurs is not out of the question by any means.

I have no doubt the Spurs will be better, I just don't think they'll be the team that surpasses the wins projection by the most games.

The problem is Ayo needs the ball because he is not a great shooter and Chicago already has Giddey, White, Buzelis and Tre Jones in the rotation.

Could definitely see portland cracking ~40-43 wins.

I vote Philadelphia. They are quietly pretty loaded.

I went with Chicago. They won 39 games last year after finishing the season strong. They still have a pretty young rotation so I see them building on that this season. And the east is garbage so they'll at a minimum be competitive every night.

Going the raptors personally. 37.5 is low for a fairly talented but rudderless team with talent

Rudderless? How so?

Darko is their rudder. He's underrated because of the last two seasons, but he's a talented, focused coach, and has a Ted Lasso attitude that brings out the best in his players.

But I agree that Toronto is a darkhorse this season, and with the way things have rolled out in the east, they are definitely able to win a lot more than the 37.5 wins they've been given. They should have been on this poll.

I said... Detroit. I think they build off of last year's success and Cade takes another step.

Darko a great coach, but rudderless as in they don't really have a direction, they absolutely cap out at a 55 win team where they will beat 65/70% of the league by just being long, and well coached, but once half court offense starts to become a thing they will struggle badly

While they will win a lot of games, any team who plays then twice will probably realize that you can absolutely disrespect 3/5 starters from 3 and just clog the **** out of the paint, get back hard on defense and I don't think Quickley is going to lead you to a second round playoff series

i know people are high on Portland but they are in the west and that offense still looks iffy.
I think Dallas could win in the high 40s if AD stays healthy.

It wasn’t a mistake last season. We were extremely healthy all year, used our bench a ton, and were towards league lead in bench minutes played. None of our started logged a heavy load.

Just bad luck and fluke injuries with Garland, Mobley, Hunter, and Jerome getting banged up in a 2-3 game stretch

To expand further, nobody on the Cavs finished in the top 80 in the league in MPG.

Mitchell, Mobley, and Garland all finished around 90th, and Allen finished around 120th.

Tons of bench minutes and natural load management due to big leads in games

Is it a top heavy draft in 2026 with multiple franchise players? Yes? That means Charlotte will inexplicably win 45 games, make the playoffs, lose out on those players they need while teams like the Celtics and Pacers jump up in the lottery and take them, then be back in the cellar for the next 10 years. I've seen this story many times before, so go ahead and put your fanduel bets in
